William Hill are offering odds of 11/4 that Portsmouth will fail to fulfill their entire Premier League programme this season – and odds of 4/1 that Avram Grant will still be manager of the club on the first day of next season.
‘Pompey are on the brink, but football clubs seem to have a remarkable habit of avoiding meltdown in these circumstances, especially Premier League football clubs’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Hills offer 1/4 that Pompey WILL play all their fixtures, and 1/7 that Grant will no longer be in charge at the club on the first day of season 2010/11. (If club ceases to exist he will be deemed to no longer be in charge for betting purposes.)
