Goal-line Technology Now 11/4 For Next Season…champions League Latest
Spurs were on the receiving end of a controversial decision at Wembley on Sunday and Sepp Blatter has revealed that FIFA are willing to experiment with goal-line technology in June and William Hill are offering 11/4 that it is in place for the start of the Premier League next season (1/4 it is not).
Another controversial decision came at Old Trafford where Ashley Young won his second dubious penalty in as many weeks and William Hill are offering 3/1 that he is booked for simulation during the run in to the season.
Despite Tottenham’s recent slump in form, culminating in their 5-1 defeat to Chelsea in the FA Cup, Harry Redknapp is 1/4 to become the next England manager, with Roy Hodgson 4/1 and Stuart Pearce 6/1.
“Since Capello left England, seemingly thrusting Redknapp into the seat overnight, Spurs have won just once,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “As the old adage goes though, form is temporary, class is permanent.”
Chelsea now have a two legged affair against Barcelona to contest and Hills offer 12/1 that they win the Champions League AND the FA Cup.
Di Matteo has only seen one defeat since he took over as Chelsea boss, but despite this, he is the 11/4 second favourite to become the next permanent Chelsea boss with Hills who go 2/1 Benitez and 11/4 Mourinho.
The Champions League semi finals kick off on Tuesday and William Hill make Barcelona the 6/5 favourites to be the highest scoring team of the four this week, with Real Madrid 5/2, Bayern Munich 11/4 and Chelsea 9/2.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Lional Messi both reached the landmark of 41 goals in La Liga and William Hill make Ronaldo the 4/5 favourite to end the season as the leading scorer in Spain, Messi is just behind at 10/11.
