Hills Payout On Hills Phantom Goal…5/1 For Goalline Technology Next Season
QPR will have been aggrieved when Clint Hill had a goal controversially chalked off, despite the fact that his header was clearly over the line. William Hill are offering 5/1 that goal line technology is introduced into the Premier League by the start of next season (1/9 it is not). As the goal was clearly over the line, William Hill are paying out on Hill being the first goalscorer, as well as Darren Pratley.
It will have been no consolation to Mark Hughes and his players as they trudged off at half time but we clearly thought it was a goal and are more than happy to pay out, said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly. It is just another case for a quick introduction for goalline technology.
