Easter Sunday, Title Race Decider? United Evens To Win League By Seven Or More

Easter Sunday could be decisive in the race for the Premier League and William Hill go 5/6 that the destination of the title is decided before the Manchester derby at the end of April (5/6 it is not). Hills are offering Even money that Manchester United win the title by seven or more points although they are 5/1 to fail to win the title. Manchester United are 1/9 to win the League, City are 5/1. City’s recent slump could prove costly, not just for the club, but for their manager as well and he is Even money to have left the club by the first game of next season.

Arsenal will be hopeful that they can keep hold of goal-machine Robin van Persie with his contract due to expire in just over 12 months, although the omens are not good, with Hill making 5/4 to have left the Gunners by the start of next season.

Mark Hughes came to QPR with the backing of mega rich owners with the proviso that he keeps them in the Premier League. Things have not worked out as planned so far, but despite this, Hills make him 1/4 to still be at Loftus Road on the first day of next season (11/4 to have left).

William Hill Football Odds:

Premier League outright: 1/9 Manchester United; 5/1 Manchester City; 750/1 Arsenal, Tottenham

How many points will Premier League title winners get: 7/4 93+; 7/4 89-92; 6/4 88 or less

How many points will United win the League by: 1/1 7 or more; 4/1 4-6; 6/1 1-3; 10/1 goal difference; 5/1 not to win it

Mancini to be at City on the first day of next season: 8/11 yes; 1/1 no

Premier League title to be won before kickoff of the Manchester derby: 5/6 yes; 5/6 no

RVP still at Arsenal on the first day of next season: 4/7 yes; 5/4 no

Mark Hughes still at QPR at the start of next season: 1/4 yes; 11/4 no

Stream Hoping To Make Waves In William Hill Scottish Cup

Coldstream have started their William Hill Scottish Cup journey earlier than any other team in the first round of the competition. The team from the Borders region set off on their marathon 600 mile round-trip to Wick on Friday morning in high spirits.

The Captain John Crawford is relishing the trip to Wick “It’s really exciting for us to be heading up to the Highlands. We have a lot of new players in the team and it’ll be a great bonding exercise for the lads.”

“Wick might be 300 miles away in distance, but we don’t think there’ll be too much difference on the pitch.”

William Hill, the Scottish Cup sponsors, have supplied a luxury coach for the team to travel up to the game and the Streamers Chairman Steve Wright was thrilled with the gift from the new Cup sponsors. ‘It was a really nice gesture by William Hill to put on the coach for us. It’s a mammoth trip up to the Highlands and it’s nice to be travelling up in a bit of luxury.

‘We haven’t the best record in the Scottish Cup, but we’re hopeful of getting a positive result against a very good Wick team. The bookies don’t fancy our chances, but we hope they’re proved wrong.’

Wick are the 1/4 favourites with the sponsors who make Coldstream 6/1 – with the draw on offer at 9/2.

‘Coldstream have lost 18 of their last 20 Scottish Cup ties – so the omens don’t look too good for the Streamers,’ said William Hill spokesman Tony Kenny, ‘However, they’re a young squad and they’ll go to Wick without any fear of the Highlanders.’

‘The odds suggest a Wick victory, but so far our punters are betting on the draw.’

The trip to Coldstream was the third leg of the William Hill Scottish Cup visits. The SFA and William Hill are taking the Cup on a tour of the country and giving the real fans a chance to get their hands on the oldest Cup trophy in Association football.

On Wednesday, the Cup was in Fort William in the Highland’s where the Fort were due to play Boness United. Unfortunately this game has been postponed.

On Thursday, the Cup went to the William Hill shop in Galashiels ahead of the big Borders derby clash between Gala Fairydean and Hawick Royal Albert in Selkirk. The region which is traditionally a rugby area, but football will be the focus of attention tomorrow afternoon when the more than local pride will be at stake.

William Hill Scottish Junior Cup Odds

William Hill SCOTTISH JUNIOR CUP ODDS……..
BACK TO THE FUTURE
Linlithgow Rose are aiming for their 4th Junior Cup win, their last being in 2007 while Largs Thistle are aiming to win it for the second time, their only other win being in 1994. Its Largs’ last victory in 1994 that starts to throw up some coincendences…..
In 1994 Dundee Utd won the Scottish Cup for thier first time in their history – last weekend they won it for the second time.
In 1994 there was a World Cup taking place, won by Brazil – fast forward 16 years a World Cup takes place in South Africa.
In 1994 Chelsea reached the FA Cup Final albeit losing to Man Utd – in 2010 they again reached the final but this time won it.
In 1994 Inter Milan reached a European Final – winning the UEFA Cup – on Saturday they play in the Champions League Final.
In 1994 Walter Smith won the Manager of the Year Award – he won the title again this season.
If you believe in omens then it looks like Largs only have to turn up on Sunday as it’s in the stars.
William Hill have priced up some specials for those looking to cash in on the superstition –
Largs to win the Junior Cup, Inter Milan to win the Champions League and Brazil to win the World Cup pays 25/1 or
if you want to follow it exactly to the past you can have 14/1 on Largs and Brazil.
All is not lost though if you follow Linlithgow as in the year of their last victory Chelsea won the FA Cup and a side from Milan (albeit AC) competed in the Champions League Final.
