Rooney Odds-on To See Fergie Off

Wayne Rooney was left out of the Manchester United side against Blackburn after reportedly breaking a curfew on Boxing Day, but William Hill think that Rooney will get his place in the starting line-up back, offering 1/5 that he starts the next game against Newcastle. This time last year, relations between Rooney and Sir Alex Ferguson were strained as Rooney requested a transfer and Hills offer 8/1 that he asks for another transfer at any point during the January window. Hills think that Rooney will actually see off Ferguson and go 1/2 that he is at United longer than Fergie (6/4 he is not).

Should he leave United, Hills make Manchester City the favourites to sign him at 5/1 with Real Madrid 8/1 and Chelsea and Barcelona at 10/1.

“Despite the sometime volatile relationship between Ferguson and Rooney, we think this particular incident is a mere blip in what we expect to be a long United career for Wayne,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Rooney to start vs Newcastle: 1/5 yes; 10/3 no

Rooney to score against Newcastle: 10/11 anytime; 7/2 first; 4/1 two or more; 20/1 hat-trick

Rooney to be sent off vs Newcastle: 33/1

Will Rooney request a transfer in the January window: 8/1 yes; 1/20 no

Who will be at Manchester United longer: 1/2 Rooney; 6/4 Ferguson

When will Rooney leave Manchester United: 7/1 2012; 11/2 2013; 9/4 2014; 15/8 2015; 12/1 2016; 5/2 2017 or later

Wayne Rooney next club: 5/1 Manchester City; 8/1 Real Madrid; 10/1 Barcelona; 10/1 Chelsea

11/4 Rooney Not To Start 3rd Game Anyway Plus Manc Mayhem

WHAT PRICE ROONEY TO MISS 3RD GAME ANYWAY?

William Hill offer 11/4 that Wayne Rooney will NOT start in England’s 3rd Euro 2012 Group game against Ukraine. ‘After the whole desperate campaign to get the ban reduced it would be ironic if he were to be injured ,not selected for the game, or brought on as a late sub’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Hills make Rooney 1/ 4 to start the game.

WILL IT BE MANC MAYHEM FOR EUROPA PUNTERS?

William Hill make Manchester City 6/5 favourites to go furthest of the British clubs left in the Europa League, but fear punters may find it difficult to make their minds up about how committed the two ‘big boys’ eliminated from Champions League may find it to commit to a serious Europa challenge. ‘City would find it difficult to field a poor side given the depth of their squad, but Fergie has yet to seem enthused by the idea of a tilt at the Europa League, and for sure both clubs will regard the Premier League as their main priority’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
‘We enjoyed an excellent night on Wednesday thanks to United’s result but I think on balance we may have preferred to take a short term hit for the long term gain of having four Prem teams in what is clearly the major competition, the Champions League. And the jury is out over whether having City and United playing on Sundays rather than Saturdays in the League will be a positive for us’

Hills…….Furthest progressing British team in the Europa league:

Man City 6/5
Man Utd 6/4
Stoke 6/1
Fulham 8/1
Tottenham 14/1
Celtic 50/1
Birmingham 50/1

Dead heat rules apply.
Win Only.

FINAL STRAW FOR FERGIE?

FOLLOWING their embarrassing exit from the Champions League, Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is 5/2 with William Hill no longer to be United boss on the first day of next season (2/7 still to be in place). ‘Sir Alex may not fancy the idea of having to build yet another team all over again’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe. Hills make United 2/5 to win NO major trophy this season.

William Hill now make Manchester United Evens to go further than City, who are 8/11 favourites to outdo United, in the Europa League for which Hills have made City 6/1 favourites and also offer 7/1 Man U; 10 At Madrid; 11 Valencia; 14 Schalke; At Bilbao; Porto; 18 Stoke; 20 Ajax; PSV; PSG
Hills OFFER 20/1 ALL MANCHESTER EUROPA LEAGUE FINAL.

City odds on to become record Prem scorers as:
YOU BET IT IS BEGINNING OF END FOR FERGIE’S REIGN

William Hill have cut their odds for Sir Alex Ferguson to have left Manchester United by the first day of the next Premier League season from 5/1 to 7/2 following their thrashing by Manchester City. ‘Fergie may just have seen a glimpse of what the future holds if he remains in his job, and the thought of playing second fiddle to City may just prove too much for him before next season gets underway’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Hills do, though, still make him odds on, at 1/5 still to be in charge when 2012/13 begins.

TEN William Hill CLIENTS BET ON A 1-6 WIN FOR MAN CITY, AT ODDS OF 500/1 – THE BIGGEST STAKE WAS JUST £3, MAKING A PROFIT OF £1500. Hills offer 500/1 that United will win the return fixture 1-6……..100/1 that City win 6-1 again.

Michael’s G-owen To Have To Do More To Feature For Fergie As United Set To Top A Ton

Michael Owen made a goalscoring return to Manchester United’s first team, but despite this, William Hill do not think that his performance against Leeds will force him back into Sir Alex Ferguson’s Premier League reckoning. He is odds on at 10/11 to start between 0 and one game. He is 8/1 to start six or more games. Owen bagged a brace against Leeds and Hills offer 5/6 that he scores more than seven goals for United this season in all competitions. He is 10/1 to make any appearance for England before the end of Euro 2012 and 16/1 to make Fabio Capello’s Euro 2012 squad.

“Michael Owen will have been delighted to have impressed on his first start for United since January, but the odds suggest that he will need to produce more of the same if he is to elbow his way into Fergie’s Premier League plans,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

United have been in great goalscoring form this season and Hills go 11/2 about the Red Devils scoring 100 or more goals in the Premier League this season.

First The Bbc…could Itv Now Be On Fergie’s Blacklist?

Sir Alex Ferguson seemingly took offence at the line of questioning from Kenny Dalglish’s daughter Kelly, after the match in Benfica and William Hill are offering 8/1 that the two bosses refuse to shake hands after their teams meet at Anfield on the 15th October. Hills also offer 33/1 that Fergie officially announces that he will not conduct any interviews with Kelly Cates following a Manchester United match.

“Fergie is known to have very little time for any journalists that dare to irritate him with awkward questions, and it could well be that his rival’s daughter may well have ticked that box on Wednesday evening,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

With the match between the two rivals a month away, Hills are offering 9/1 that Liverpool win both matches and 5/2 that United do. For both side to get a win each is 9/4.
