King Kenny’s Crown Slipping While Di Matteo Impresses At Chelsea

William Hill have slashed their odds about Kenny Dalglish ceasing to be Liverpool manager by the start of next season from 5/2 to Even money after their latest Premier League setback – and Liverpool striker Andy Carroll is 5/6 NOT to score another Premier League goal this season, and 5/2 to have left the club before next season. His chances of going to the European Championships seem to have fizzled out and he is 7/2 to head on the plane to Poland (1/6 not to). He is far more likely to go to the Olympics – offered at 4/7 (5/4 not to).

Jack Wilshere may play for Arsenal before the end of the season, but his return may come too late for an England call up this summer, offering 4/6 he stays at home (11/10 he goes). Fernando Torres ended his massive Premier League goal drought and he has run into quite a bit of form in recent weeks. Hills are offering 4/6 that he travels as part of the Spain squad to the European Championships this summer (11/10 he does not).

Roberto Di Matteo is now 2/1 joint favourite to permanently get the Chelsea manager’s job having been as long as 8/1 at one point. Jose Mourinho is also 2/1 with Pep Guardiola 9/2.

DI MATTEO BACKED TO BE FULL TIME BOSS AFTER CHELSEA TURN IT ROUND…..

ROBERTO DI MATTEO was 8/1 with William Hill to to be appointed Chelsea’s permanent manager prior to kick-off of their Champions League game against Napoli on Wednesday evening. After the game he was cut to 5/1 as punters clamoured to back him, and now he is down to 5/2 second favourite with Hills, a fraction behind 9/4 favourite Jose Mourinho. ‘One swallow doesn;t make a summer, and one Champions League victory doesn’t make a trophy, but Chelsea fans appear to believe Di Matteo may well be the man charged with bringing the good times back to the Bridge’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.Hills now make Chelsea 11/8 to manage a top 4 finish in the Premier League – and 25/1 to turn potential disaster into triumph by winning both the FA Cup and Champions League. However, they are also 2/7 to end the season empty-handed.
Hills HAVE OPENED A BOOK on how many goals Torres will score from now until the end of the season – and make 0-3 their 4/5 favourite. ‘Even fans of rival clubs seem to want to see Torres come out of his goal drought now, but everyone is speculating on whether he will score again this season’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

United 5/6 To End Chelsea’s Unbeaten Start…you Bet Torres Is Going To Struggle

Manchester United ad Chelsea meet in what should be the first title shoot out of the season and William Hill make Manchester United the 5/6 favourites to win this clash, with Chelsea 7/2. The draw is offered at 12/5.

This fixture last season, almost proved to be the title decider and the match ups between these two over the course of the season may be vital in deciding the destination of the Premier League trophy and Hills offer 4/1 that Manchester United take six points off Chelsea this season, while their West London rivals are 9/1 to do likewise.

“Chelsea are unbeaten at the moment but their young manager looks like his side will be up against it trying to maintain that at Old Trafford on Sunday,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Fernando Torres is 10/1 to open the scoring against Manchester United and 7/2 to score anytime against the Champions as his goal drought continues. Wayne Rooney has back to back Premier League hat-tricks and Hills make him 33/1 to get his third on Sunday.

Tevez Backed To Stay At Eastlands As City Odds On To Bag Third

Following his brace against Stoke City, Carlos Tevez has been backed in to 5/6 to still be at Manchester City on the first day of next season. On the day before the FA Cup final, he was 2/5 to move over the summer although his public pledge to stay at Eastlands has seen a marked gamble at William Hill on City’s skipper staying. Carlos Tevez is 5/6 to be this season’s Premier League top scorer, while Dimitar Berbatov is the same price. City are 4/9 to beat Arsenal to 3rd in the table with the Gunners 13/8 to get the final automatic Champion’s League spot.

“Despite suffering a two month goal drought this season AND being out injured for six weeks, Tevez goes into the last day of the season with every chance of winning the golden boot and in firing City into third has more than proved his worth to the club,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Premier League Odds:
Top Scorer: 5/6 Berbatov; 5/6 Tevez

Finish Third: 4/9 Manchester City; 13/8 Arsenal

Carlos Tevez to be at Manchester City on the first day of next season: 5/6 Yes; 5/6 No

Another Championship side with managerial woes are West Ham for whom Chris Hughton is 11/10 favourite. Sam Allardyce is the 9/2 second favourite with Martin O’Neill 5/1.

Swansea are slight favourites to win the Championship playoff at 11/8, while Reading are 13/8 to win in 90 minutes. Swansea are 8/11 to win promotion while Reading are Even money to do so.

Odds-on For Carlo To Say Ciao To Chelsea In Summer

Carlo Acelotti appears to be walking a very thin line following Chelsea’s capitulation against Manchester United. Bookmakers William Hill offer 5/1 that he is the next Premier League manager to leave their job and also 1/3 that he is not in charge come the first day of next season. Should Ancelotti be relieved of his position, Hills are 5/2 that Guus Hiddink takes over as the next permanent Chelsea manager while Jose Mourinho is 11/4.

Fernando Torres has endured a wretched start to his Chelsea career although Hills offer Even money that his goal drought ends against West Brom at the weekend. He is 7/2 to fail to score for the rest of the season. It is 10/3 that Torres has left Chelsea by the first game of next season while the odds suggest that the first of Chelsea’s strikers to leave the club will be Drogba (11/8) followed by Nicolas Anelka at 7/4.

“It is fair to say that Chelsea’s season has not gone quite to plan and their first season without a trophy in three years could well be the death knell for Ancelotti,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill Man United to win the treble – 6/1

Ancelotti still at Chelsea first day of next season?
Yes – 9/4

FERNANDO TORRES IS AN 8/1 CHANCE WITH William Hill TO FAIL TO SCORE FOR CHELSEA THIS SEASON. And Hills quote him at 9/2 not to score in any of his next five games, beginning with Wigan at the weekend – when he is odds on finally to get off the mark for the Blues. ‘Torres on-going goal drought is becoming a bigger story the longer it lasts – and attracting more bets every time he draws another blank’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

AFTER ROONEY – WHO’S ******* NEXT?……. 15/2 HIM AGAIN!

William Hill have opened a book on who will be the next Premier League player banned for swearing during a match – and have installed Joey Barton, the self-styled midfield maestro, as their 6/1 favourite, with Wayne Rooney a 15/2 chance. ‘You’d think Premier League players would learn from Rooney’s punishment – but you have to think that they’ll soon forget and one of them will fall foul of the rule again, quite possibly Wayne himself’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Paul The Octopus And Premier League Specials

PAUL THE OCTOPUS TIPPING ENGLAND AT LAST!

William Hill have trimmed the price of England being chosen to host the 2018 World Cup from 11/10 to Even money after support for the bid following Paul the Octopus’ prediction that they will win the bid. Hills think that the biggest danger to the England bid will be Russia at 7/4, with Spain & Portugal 9/2 then 12/1 Belgium & Holland.’After Paul’s sensational success during the World Cup itself many punters who profited from his predictions there genuinely seem to believe that he is infallible.’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

PUNTERS PILE ON ROONEY DROUGHT TO CONTINUE

William Hill have cut their odds for Wayne Rooney’s goal drought to continue into Manchester United’s match at Fulham this weekend from 6/5 to 10/11. ‘We put up 6/5 for Wayne to fail to score against Fulham initially, but have been forced to trim that to 10/11 after some one-sided betting. We are now 4/5 from 8/13 that he WILL score’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

William Hill have opened a book on which Premier League side will remain undefeated the longest – and make Chelsea 7/4 favourites, with Blackpool and Wolves the 150/1 outsiders. ‘The vagaries of the fixture system make this a tricky market to predict but the predictable big names are the front-runners’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

AND WHO WILL BE LAST TO WIN A MATCH?

Hills have also opened a book on which team will be the LAST to win a Premier League game this season, and make Wigan 3/1 favourites, with Arsenal the 66/1 outsiders. ‘This is the race no team wants to win as it usually suggests relegation is a real prospect’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
