Premier League Is Back And Punters Cannot Wait!!!!!

Manchester City are the best backed side to win the Premier League with William Hill and the current Champions are 6/5 with Manchester United attracting only slight interest despite their large investment over the summer. The biggest bet that Hills have taken on the Premier League is for Liverpool, where a shop punter placed £22,000 e/w on the Reds lifting the trophy at 25/1.

“Despite the fact that we’ve had a busy sporting summer, turnover on our antepost football markets has increased quite markedly,” said Hill’ spokesman Joe Crilly. “We were offering top price on every single side to win the Premier League which proved incredibly popular and also shows that despite the glitz and glamour of the Euros and the Olympics, the Premier League remains the number one sporting event in the UK.”

After last season’s nail biting finale to the season, William Hill are offering 100/1 that the destination of the Premier League trophy is decided in added time of the final match of the season. Hills also have a number of other specials including 16/1 for any goalkeeper to score a goal this season, while 3/1 is available for all three promoted sides to stay up.

Nigel Adkins is the 7/2 favourite to lose the managerial sack race at 7/2, backed in pre-season from 20/1.

You Bet Two Big Money Strikers Are On The Move

With Roberto Mancini all but ruling out a move for Robin van Persie this summer, William Hill have eased Manchester City’s odds of signing the Arsenal striker. Manchester United are in pole position at Even money to be Van Persie’s next club, with Italian champions Juventus 13/8. It seems to be a race between those three clubs with Barcelona fourth favourites at 20/1.

Despite Arsenal starting to make signings that could potentially keep RVP at the Emirates, it appears to be a case of too little, too late and he is 4/11 to have left the club by the start of the season.

“Rather surprisingly, Alex Ferguson has been very public in his desire to sign van Persie and this shows how desperate he is to get his man after Nasri snubbed the Reds for the Blues last year and it looks like he may well succeed,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

The other big name likely to be on the move this summer is Andy Carroll and William Hill offer 1/2 for his next club to be West Ham with Sam Allardyce reportedly keen on the big striker. He is 9/4 to return to Newcastle and 7/1 to join Aston Villa.

Robin van Persie next club: 1/1 Manchester United; 13/8 Juventus; 15/8 Manchester City; 20/1 Barcelona; 25/1 AC Milan; 25/1 PSG; 25/1 Real Madrid; 33/1 BAR

Robin van Persie to be at Arsenal on the first day of next season: 2/1 yes; 4/11 no

Andy Carroll next club: 1/2 West Ham; 9/4 Newcastle; 7/1 Aston Villa; 12/1 Tottenham; 20/1 Fulham; 20/1 AC Milan

Tottenham are the 5/4 favourites to be the British side to progress furthest in this year’s Europa League. Stoke have been impressive in this year’s competition and Hills make them 9/4 second favourites while Fulham are 11/4.

Two British sides (Birmingham and Celtic) are odds on (at 4/11 and 1/8) to fail to make it out of the Group Stage. Spurs appear most likely to be knocked out of the competition at the round of 16 (11/4) along with Stoke (14/5), while Fulham are 11/8 to go out at the round of 32 stage.

United are 10/11 favourites to win the match at Old Trafford with City 5/2 and the draw 23/10.

“It is likely to be a close match on Sunday and neither team will be wanting to lose their unbeaten record, let alone to their bitterest rivals and it may well take a moment of magic from the two sides’ leading scorers,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

City Start Shows Promise As Aguero Slashed For Golden Boot

Manchester City showed their obvious class when upstaging Swansea on their return to the big time, to record the only home win of the opening week of the Premier League. New boy Sergio Aguero, scored two and set up one on his City debut and William Hill are offering 4/1 that he bags the golden boot during his first season in Premier League football. Manchester City are 10/3 to win the Premier League this season but are still behind Manchester United and Chelsea at 6/5 and 3/1 respectively. Hills offer 10/3 about a United/City 1-2, while a City/United forecast is 11/2.

“After just one game, the league is looking ominous for teams around the country as the North West occupy the top three,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “Realistically, there will only be two of those sides there at the end of the season but on the weekend’s form, the Manchester sides will take some shifting from their lofty perch.”

Despite performing well in the first half, Swansea faded in the second and succumbed to a big defeat and they are Hill’s favourites, at 8/15 to be relegated. Swansea are 13/8 to be the last of the promoted sides to register a Premier League win. Norwich are 6/4 and QPR are 7/4. All three promoted sides are 4/1 to be relegated. Swansea are 11/10 to win their next game against Wigan and 3/1 to record their first Premier League win against Sunderland. They are 11/4 to fail to win within the next five games.
