FOLLOWING THE GAMBLE on Martin O’Neill to be the next Premier League manager to leave his club William Hill have opened a book on who will be the next permanent Villa boss, and make Mark Hughes 4/1 favourite. ‘Even if the current rumours prove to be unfounded Martin O’Neill seems likely to move on sooner rather than later, and he’ll leave behind a club just a couple of players short of being genuine contenders for a Champions League place’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
