MESSI ODDS ON FOR UEFA AWARD
William Hill have made Wayne Rooney a 16/1 outsider as Lionel Messi has been installed as odds-on favourite to win the UEFA Club Footballer of the Year Award. ‘Rooney did have an excellent Premier League season but did not enhance his reputation at the World Cup, while Messi did little to diminish his and looks a worthy favourite to win the Award’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
