You Bet Qpr Hoping The Tractors Roll Over The Canaries!

Ipswich are slight favourites for Thursday night’s East Anglia Derby with William Hill. The Tractor Boys are 6/4 while Norwich are 9/5. Norwich are still chasing automatic promotion, for which they are an Even money shot to do, behind QPR at 1/500 and Cardiff at 4/5. Ipswich’s coveted young striker, Connor Wickham, is the 11/2 second favourite to open the scoring, behind Grant Holt and Hills are also offering betting on which club he will move to from Ipswich. Liverpool are the 2/1 favourites to capture his signature, while Tottenham are 10/3 and Arsenal are 4/1.

“Ipswich will be desperate to put a spanner in the promotion hopes of their rivals by securing victory on Thursday and QPR fans will see their side promoted if Norwich lose,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Hills are also offering odds on how many points QPR win the Championship by and make 7 – 9 their 11/4 favourite. QPR are currently 1/25 to win the league.

Carroll Set To Partner Rooney…terry Captain But For How Long?

Andy Carroll looks primed to start against Wales on Saturday, with William Hill offering 7/4 that he partners Wayne Rooney up front. Jermaine Defoe is the 9/4 second favourite and Darren Bent at 3/1. Carroll is Even money to get off the mark at any point during the course of the game and 4/1 to bag the first goal of the game. A lot of the build up to the game has been dominated by Fabio Capello’s decision to hand the captain’s armband back to John Terry and Hills are offering 3/1 that he is stripped of the honour again before he retires.

“Andy Carroll had an impressive debut for England and will be looking to build on that in the match against Wales, with a goal not looking unlikely,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Gareth Bale will undoubtedly be Wales’ star man and William Hill are offering 14/1 that he wins Man Of The Match on Saturday. Former captain, Craig Bellamy looks set to start and Hills are offering 11/2 that either he or Gareth Bale open the scoring. Hills are taking bets on where Bellamy will be playing next season, offering 5/2 that he stays at Cardiff and the same price that he returns to Manchester City.
