PREMIER LEAGUE BOSSES UNDER PRESSURE: 14/1 BENITEZ, BROWN, HART ALL OUT BY FEBRUARY
William Hill are offering 14/1 that under-pressure bosses Phil Brown, Paul Hart and Rafa Benitez will all have left their clubs by the end of the January transfer window. ‘The surprise is that no Prem boss has departed yet this season – but it is only a matter of time. William Hill have opened a book on which of the ‘Big 4 Bosses’ will leave his club first, and on when one of the four will eventually depart – making Rafa Benitez and 2010 respectively the favourites.
‘WITH ALL OF THE BIG Four Clubs and their bosses beginning to feel a little pressure, either from fans because of their own performances on behalf of their clubs, or by the shadow of Big 4 wannabes like Man City, Spurs, Villa and Everton closing in on their private club of four, it feels as though an era may be drawing to a close’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe. ‘We think Rafa is in genuine danger of departing by the end of the season, and one or two of his Big 4 counterparts clearly can’t go on much longer as they are already rivalling the Rolling Stones for longevity. The betting on whether the Big 4 will still dominate the Top 4 at the end of the season or not is also very close’.
