WITH THE row over Alistair Darling’s ‘hell’ remarks still rumbling on, William Hill are offering odds of 9/4 that the Chancellor will retain a place in the cabinet/shadow cabinet following the first Labour re-shuffle after the forthcoming General Election. He is 1/3 not to be retained in the cabinet/shadow cabinet.
‘We think Alistair Darling is unlikely to be retained in either the cabinet or shadow cabinet following the Election despite recent public displays of friendship between him and Mr Brown’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
