Holt To Join Lambert At Villa Park?

Grant Holt looks even more certain to be leaving Norwich after West Ham made an offer for him and William Hill make him 4/7 to join Sam Allardyce’s side, 11/8 to join former manager, Paul Lambert at Aston Villa and 9/1 to stay at Carrow Road. With Aston Villa now having confirmed Lambert as their manager and given the Villain’s recent propensity to only keep their managers for the one season, Hills are offering 5/2 that the former Norwich man is not in charge on the first day of the 2013/14 season. Lambert is 1/9 to take Villa to a higher position than their 16th position that they finished under Alex McLeish.

“Lambert is a fantastic manager and we fully expect him to lead Villa up the table next year,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “He did have some good players at his disposal at Carrow Road and he could be joined by one of his old cohorts at Villa Park should West Ham not bag Grant Holt.”

Hills make Chris Hughton the 5/4 favourite to replace Lambert, with Malky Macky 7/4 and Steve Bruce 3/1.

Who will Grant Holt be playing for at the start of the 2012/13 Premier League season: 4/7 West Ham; 11/8 Aston Villa; 9/1 Norwich; 12/1 Sunderland; 16/1 Everton; 20/1 Tottenham; 25/1 Stoke; 33/1 Newcastle; 33/1 Fulham; 40/1 Liverpool

Paul Lambert to still be at Villa on the start of the 2013/14 season: 2/7 yes; 5/2 no

Aston Villa to finish higher than 2011/12 season: 1/9 Higher than 16th; 5/1 lower than 16th; 9/1 Finish 16th

Next permanent Norwich manager: 5/4 Chris Hughton; 7/4 Malky Mackay; 3/1 Steve Bruce; 6/1 Lee Clark; 6/1 Tim Sherwood; 10/1 Ian Culverhouse; 12/1 Ole Gunnar Solksjaer; 14/1 Gus Poyet; 14/1 Ala Curbishley; 14/1Gianfranco Zola; 14/1 Ian Holloway; 16/1 Roberto Martinez; 16/1 Mick McCarthy; 25/1 BAR

Lambert And Holt Set To Bolt…eden Hazardous Against New Teammates

Paul Lambert looks set to leave Norwich and William Hill offer 5/4 that Chris Hughton gets the job, while Malky Mackay is 7/4 with Steve Bruce 3/1. Grant Holt looks like he could be another person heading for the exit door at Carrow Road and Hills make Sunderland the 13/8 favourites to attract the powerful forward with Aston Villa 15/8. Hills have cut the price of Norwich being relegated, given the current turmoil, from 7/4 to 13/8.

“Holt and Lambert were instrumental in the meteoric rise for Norwich in recent times and their departures could catalyse a downturn in fortunes for the Canaries,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

England take on Belgium at Wembley on Saturday where Eden Hazard will be showcasing his talents on UK soil and Hills offer 6/1 that he outscores his new Chelsea teammates (Cole Cahill and Terry) during the game.

Andy Carroll had a brilliant opportunity to add to his single goal for England against Norway and Hills are now betting on how the Liverpool targetman will find the net. 4/5 favourite is that he bags a goal with his left foot and 6/4 he does so with a header. Carroll is 7/2 to open the scoring against Belgium and 10/11 to score anytime during the match.
