Accordintolawrence A Penalty Kick? William Hill Soccer Am Horse Special Bets

Soccer AM’s newest signing of the equine variety – named Accordintolawrence – is set to make his next racecourse appearance when declared to run at Doncaster on Friday – and is 11-4 with bookmakers William Hill to score for his well-known new ownership.

The Charlie Longsdon-trained horse – leased by the Sky Sports leading football program – will carry the striking signature blue and white colours of the show, and will be ridden by jockey Felix de Giles in the 2.35 contest.

The show’s anchor Helen Chamberlain has dubbed the horse ‘Accordintoliamlawrence’ – after the Portsmouth right-winger, and William Hill are offering a 10-1 special double for Pompey and Accordintolawrence to taste victory this weekend.

A further 18-1 is available with William Hill for both Liam Lawrence (7-2 anytime) to score in Saturday’s game and his equine namesake to win on Friday.

William Hill also make the five-year-old 33-1 to win any race at jump racing’s biggest and most popular event – the Cheltenham Festival – in March.

This is not the first time Soccer AM have dipped their toes into horse racing, with Teaforthree their first foray into the equine ownership world last year. Will Becks Be England Gaffer Or England Gaffe?

David Beckham brushed aside questions about him becoming England manager in the future, but William Hill think that he may well dip his toes into the managerial pond at some point in the future. Beckham is 20/1 to take over from Fabio Capello although Hills go Even money that Beckham’s first managerial foray takes place in the USA. Hills go 2/1 that he can be seen striding the touchline in England.

“Beckham was an incredibly popular player and the chances are that he would prove a popular choice as England manager, although he may have to cut his teeth at a lower level before getting the big job,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

It would appear that management may be the way forward for Becks with Hills offering 11/2 that he ever starts another game for England and 9/4 that he makes an appearance at any point for the Three Lions, although 2/1 is available for him to start a match for Team GB at London 2012.

Beckham First Managerial Country (as manager or assistant): 1/1 USA; 2/1 England; 5/2 Any other; 25/1 Spain; 25/1 Italy; 7/4 not to manage before 2020

Start a competitive England match again: 11/2 yes; 1/10 no

Feature for England at any point again in the future: 9/4 yes; 1/3 no

Team GB Manager at London 2012: 16/1

Start a match for Team GB at London 2012: 2/1 yes; 4/11 no

Team GB Captain at London 2012: 2/1

When will Beckham retire from playing football: 16/1 2011; 9/4 2012; 7/4 2013; 1/1 2014+

Ian In Rush To Replace Flynn Should Wales Wilt

Brian Flynn is taking charge of the Welsh side for their two Euro 2012 qualifiers on Friday and Tuesday but William Hill make him only 6/5 second favourite to take the job on a permanent basis. Should Wales perform well in their two games against Bulgaria and Switzerland, it would certainly not do his chances of getting the job any harm. William Hill are offering odds of 7/4 that Wales gain three points over the two games, 9/4 that they get no points and 20/1 that they get six.

Ian Rush, whose only foray into management was a short stint with Chester, is the Even Money favourite and Chris Coleman is 9/2 third favourite.

“Much depends on how well Wales fare over these two qualifiers. Should they do well, Flynn would be a shoo-in, although should Wales fail to perform, there are contenders waiting in the wings,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill Wales Odds:

Next Permanent Wales Manager: 1/1 Ian Rush; 6/5 Brian Flynn; 9/2 Chris Coleman; 8/1 Terry Venebles; 20/1 BAR

How Many Points Will Wales Get In The Two Euro 2012 Qualifiers: 7/4 Three; 2/1 One; 9/4 None8/1 Four; 16/1 Two; 20/1 Six
