You Bet Rvp Is On His Way…what Now For Southgate?

Robin van Persie has been the subject of reported bids from Manchesters United and City as well as Juventus and William Hill are betting on where the Dutch striker will be playing on the first day of next season. He is 11/10 to join moneybags Manchester City, 11/4 to be at Manchester United and 10/3 to still be at Arsenal. Juventus round off the top four at 4/1 with the rest of his potential suitors available at 16/1 or more.

Gareth Southgate has left his role as the FA’s Head of Elite Development and William Hill are now betting on where he will pop up next. He is 7/4 for his next managerial rolw to be in the Championship and 9/4 for it to be in League One.

“It was always a bizarre appointment for the FA to select Gareth Southgate and he may well have been a little out of his depth,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “He may well go back to management now and the Championship looks the most likely destination.”

Emile Heskey is reportedly in talks with Ipswich to sign as a free agent and the former England striker is 66/1 to be the Championship’s leading scorer in the 2012/13 season.

Robin van Persies’s club on the first day of 2012/13 season: 11/10 Manchester City; 11/4 Manchester United; 10/3 Arsenal; 4/1 Juventus; 16/1 AC Milan; 16/1 Barcelona; 20/1 Real Madrid; 25/1 Chelsea; 25/1 PSG

Gareth Southgate next managerial job: 7/4 Championship; 9/4 League one; 7/2 League two; 9/2 International team; 6/1 Premier League…others on request

You Bet Manchester Sides Will Bounce Back With Victory On Sunday

After their joint defeats in the Europa League on Thursday, Manchesters United and City will be hoping to get back to winning ways on Sunday although William Hill are offering 60/1 that both sides lose against West Brom and Swansea. In all reality, the two sides are big favourites to win with United 1/3 to win and City 4/6. Hills think that the home advantage Manchester United have will enable them to have an easier time of things, with the match Even money to see the most goals on Sunday.

Manchester City are 1/18 to be top of the table come Monday morning and only a defeat in all reality could see United overtake them (15/2 for United to sit top of the table on Monday).

Both Manchester sides to lose: 60/1

Who will be top of the table on Sunday evening: 1/18 Manchester City; 15/2 Manchester United

Highest scoring Sunday match:
1/1 Manchester United/WBA; 11/5 Swansea/Manchester City; 11/5 Norwich/Wigan

City And United 12/1 To Meet In Europa Final!

Manchester City and United both picked up vital away victories and William Hill make them 12/1 (in from 20/1) to meet in the Europa League Final. Manchester City are now 1/20 to progress to the next stage of the competition (Porto 8/1) while Manchester United are 1/50 (Ajax 12/1).

Stoke had a pretty tough time of it against Valencia at the Britannia and they are 8/1 to qualify (1/20 Valencia).

“Manchesters United and City are the favourites for the whole competition and should they avoid each other in the latter rounds and continue to play the way that they both did tonight, there is no reason why they cannot meet in the final of this competition,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Manchester City are 3/1 favourites to win the Europa League with Manchester United 4/1; Valencia 8/1; Atletico Madrid 10/1; Schalke 12/1 and PSV 16/1. Stoke are 100/1 to lift the trophy.
