WHO WILL BECKS JOIN BEFORE RETURNING TO MLS?
WILLIAM HILL have opened a book on which club David Beckham will honour with his playing presence prior to returning to the MLS for its new season, and with Harry Redknapp suggesting Spurs may be interested, the London club has been installed as 1/3 favourite with Beckham’s former club Manchester United 25/1 longshots. ‘Just why any club would want to risk alienating their current squad by parachuting a mercenary in for a few weeks is a moot question but where Becks is concerned commonsense so often seems to fly out of the window! No doubt some clubs would like to bask in the reflected glory of having him on board for a while’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
