9/1 Hearts Scoop William Hill Scottish Cup…8/1 For Next Year

Hearts won the William Hill Scottish Cup, after defeating Hibernian 5-1. Hearts were the pre tournament third favourites at 9/1 and we well fancied at 6/5 to win the match in 90 minutes. Hills now make the 2012 winners 8/1 to win next year’s tournament while defeated finalists Hibs are 33/1.

“The turning point was the penalty, no doubt and Hibs were always looking to struggle from there, but Hearts remained professional and got the job done,” said Hill’s spokesman Tony Kenny.

Over the course of the sponsorship, Hills have taken the Scottish Cup all over Scotland visiting the length and breadth of the country from Coldstream to Wick in the first round before embarking on a tour that took in Alloa, Wigtown , Bladnoch, Stranraer, Peterhead, Edinburgh and many many more.

“It’s been a fantastic journey to this year’s Hampden with plenty of upsets along the way and we cannot wait for next year’s competition to start,” said Hill’s spokesman Tony Kenny.

When Will Sir Alex Quit ?

WHEN WILL BIRTHDAY BOY FERGIE QUIT?

ALTHOUGH his 70th birthday was ruined by United’s shock defeat by Blackburn, Sir Alex Ferguson is just 3/1 still to be in charge at Old Trafford in 2015 – and 13/8 to depart the job in 2012. ‘Sir Alex may have considered his future after the Blackburn game but he’ll no doubt be determined to make amends for one of the worst results of his time as United boss’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Following the game Hills make Man C 8/13 Prem title favourites with United now 7/4.
STEVE KEAN IS NOW EVENS WITH WILLIAM HILL STILL TO BE BLACKBURN BOSS ON THE FIRST DAY OF NEXT SEASON, 8/11 TO BE GONE BY THEN. ‘Steve Kean continues to confound his critics – and punters convinced he’d be gone by now’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

William Hill- when will Sir Alex cease to be United boss?

2012 13/8
2013 5/2
2014 11/4
2015 OR LATER 3/1

Bookies Burned By Hottest Ever October!

The hottest ever October record temperature was broken on the first day of the month and bookmakers William Hill have been stung by an Indian Summer betting bonanza by meteorological punters. The odds of this month seeing the all time record of 29.4C (1985) had been backed in, all the way from 6/4 to 8/11 by the time that betting ceased at midnight on the 30th September.

“The previous record was officially confirmed as having been smashed just after one o’clock and Hills forked out a five figure sum to eager punters – no doubt on their way to buy burgers and bangers for a final Barbie of the year,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “We must have been the only people in the country praying for wind and rain.”

Will The Champions League Be Carrickter Building Or Will There Be A Klangerroo?

William Hill have released a number of specials for this weekend’s Champions League final. One market of which is who will be the first player to tweet after the game. The 2/5 favourite is serial tweeter, Rio Ferdinand, while Wayne Rooney, who is still relatively new to Twitter is the 5/2 second favourite. Michael Owen is 8/1.

“Rio is a devoted tweeter and there is no doubt that he should be the favourite, although Wayne Rooney is quickly catching him up in terms of tweets and followers and he will be keen to get one up on Rio come Saturday,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Hills offer 8/1 that Park Ji-Sung scores but does not win man of the match, entitled Un-Sung Hero, while 50/1 is offered for Danny Alves to score in both halves –A Game Of Two ‘Alves.

“We expect our turnover to be up this year for a number of reasons, namely, the game is on a Saturday, there is an English team involved and the two sides competing are the Champions of arguably the two best leagues in the world,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill Odds:

Hills Hammered By Goal Fest Prem

Every Premier League side playing scored this weekend, the second time that it has happened this season and cost William Hill over £1 million. A quarter of all football coupon bets every weekend are placed on Both Teams To Score coupon, which is still in its relative infancy, having only been introduced at the start of the 2009/10 season. Earlier this year, Hills were hit for another seven figure sum when every Premier League team scored.

“At the start of this season, the Both Teams To Score coupon accounted for around 10% of our football coupon turnover, since then, however, it has grown to around 25% of revenue,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly, “helped, no doubt, by the fact that the bet runs for the full 90 minutes of the match if you back both sides to score.”

This Weekend’s Both Teams To Score:

GOAL-LINE TECHNOLOGY 5/2 TO BE INTRODUCED TO PREM

FOLLOWING the latest controversy over a ‘did it cross the line?’ goal, William Hill are offering 5/2 that goal-line technology will be in place in Premier League matches before the first day of the 2012-13 season (2/7 that it will not). ‘This incident will no doubt provoke huge debate, which might at last result in the issue being properly addressed’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe, ‘When all is said and done that one decision might effectively result in Manchester United failing to win the title they have been so heavily backed to capture.’
CHELSEA have been cut from 7/1 pre match to 6/1 to win the Premier League title by William Hill who have lengthened Manchester United from 1/16 to 1/12 favourites, with Arsenal now 150/1 shots.

Scottish Soccer Betting

At this time of year many of the games get disrupted in Scotland usually because of a frozen pitch and if not, then a waterlogged pitch. The standard of football in the lower leagues, Scottish Division’s 1,2 and 3, is very poor when compared to England. None of the […]
