Will Swan Have Liverpool Singing Songs? 1/2 To Finish Higher Than Last Season.
Liverpools long and protracted search for a manager finally came to an end as Brendan Rodgers was named as Kenny Dalglishs successor and William Hill think that he will fare better than Roy Hodgson by at least finishing a season, offered at 1/4 (11/4 he is given the chop before then). At least he does not have too much to better as Liverpool slumped to eighth position and Hills offer 1/2 that they finish seventh or better. He is 12/1 to win the LMA Manager of the Year.
Rodgers found a winning formula while in South Wales and it could be argued that he has better players at his disposal, said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly. Liverpool fans could be forgiven for getting excited about this appointment.
Rodgers and his Swansea side last season defied pre-season predictions that they would be relegated and did so with a formula of patient, passing build up and Hills have opened a market on some of his former players joining him at Anfield. Gylfi Sigurdsson is 9/4 to join the Reds, while Scott Sinclair is 7/2. Leon Brtton and Ashley Williams are both 6/1 and Danny Graham is 7/1.
Rodgers will leave a very big hole in South Wales and William Hill make Ian Holloway the Even money favourite to replace him with Gus Poyet 2/1.
Paul Lambert looks like he could be on his way out of Carrow Road although the fact that his resignation has been rejected has muddied the waters somewhat. As things stand, Chris Hughton is the 5/4 favourite with Malky Mackay 2/1 and Steve Bruce 7/2.
