You Bet Football’s Not Coming Home

The World Cup 2018 and 2022 bids host cities are being decided on 2nd December 2010 and William Hill make Russia the Even money favourite for 2018 and Qatar the 4/9 favourite for 2022. England’s bid for 2018 had been as short as 1/3, however, since the ‘cash-for-votes’ was exposed, the price has drifted out to 13/8.

“Having seemed destined at one point to have the World Cup on our doorstep, it now seems a trek to Russia will be in order in 2018,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill 2018 / 2022 World Cup Bids Odds:

England Even Money To Host 2018 World Cup

England are the Even money favourites to host the 2018 World Cup with William Hill. The main contenders set to prevent England from winning the bidding seem to be Russia who are priced at 7/4 with Spain and Portugal’s joint bid offered at 9/2.

“After a miserable summer, England fans have finally got a reason to cheer, with the odds suggesting that football could well and truly be coming home in 2018,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly
