Who’ll Start In Goal ?
DAVID JAMES ON DRIFT TO BE FIRST CHOICE KEEPER
WILLIAM HILL have lengthened David James from 1/5 to 4/11 favourite to start in goal against USA in England’s first World Cup game v USA.
Hills also offer 5/2 Robert Green; 8/1 Joe Hart.’Punters have begun to bet against James being first choice keeper’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
**HOW MANY KEEPERS WILL ENGLAND USE?……4/11 ONE; 9/4 TWO; 11/1 THREE OR MORE.
**WITH THE official World Cup ball already causing controversy over its aero-dynamic qualities, William Hill are quoting odds that the record total of goals in a 32 country World Cup finals wil be beaten. The previous record total was 171 goals in 1998 and Hills offer 6/4 that 172 or more will be scored this time round (including extra time but excluding penalty shoot-out goals), 1/2 that 171 or fewer will be scored.
