England 200/1 To Win Euros Without Conceding

ENGLAND 200/1 TO WIN EUROS – WITHOUT CONCEDING A GOAL!

AFTER offering England at 16/1 to win the Euro 2012 tournament , William Hill have slashed their odds to 10/1 following their win over Belgium. ‘The first stirrings of the punting public getting behind Roy Hodgson have appeared and we acquired a potential payout of some £250,000 on England at 16/1, so shortened their odds to 10/1’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Following the 1-0 victory, Roy Hodgson has yet to see his England side concede and Hills are offering 10/1 that they do not concede at all in the Group stage, and 200/1 that they win the tournament without conceding a single goal. (Penalty shoot-outs excluded).
Danny Welbeck scored with a stunning finish and Hills make him 4/6 to start the opening goal v France, and 6/1 joint favourite to end the tournament as England top scorer.

KUYT FLYING FROM LIVERPOOL?
Dirk Kuyt could be one of a number of high profile casualties at Liverpool this summer, with William Hill offering 5/4 that he has left the club by the start of next season. Another who could be on his way is Maxi Rodriguez, who is Even money to have gone in the same time frame. The good news for Liverpool, however, is that Suarez, Gerrard and Reina all look like they will be staying, with Hills making them 1/4, 1/16 and 1/12 respectively to still be at Anfield. ‘Kuyt is popular at Liverpool but he could be amongst the players most likely to leave the club before the start of next season’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Share.

BENT INTO SHAPE?
DARREN BENT is optimistic that he can regain fitness in time to be part of the Euro squad but William Hill are less confident and offer 4/1 that he will be included in the final squad. ‘With the current shortage of reliable English forwards, other than Rooney, Bent will have a great chance of being included if he can overcome his serious injury in time’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Hills – Darren Bent to be in the Euro squad? 4/1 yes; 1/7 no

LAWRIE BETTING ON LADY BOSSES
Lawrie Sanchez has claimed that he can envisage a female manager taking charge of a Premier League club within the next ten years, but Hills disagree, offering 100/1 that a female is in the Premier League within the next decade. It is 33/1 for a female manager to be in the Football League within the next 5 years. ‘Apparently Sanchez has bet a pal that there will be a female Premier League boss within ten years – I hope he got decent odds as we’re prepared to offer 100/1about it happening!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

BOOKIES CELEBRATE ‘SEVEN FIGURE EQUALISER’!

MONTENEGRO’s late equaliser was worth £1million+ to bookies William Hill: ‘With all the well fancied sides winning on the night, we were set for a real hammering but the late equaliser was brilliant for us – it saved us from a seven figure payout but still allowed England to qualify for the final stages of the tournament’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Rooney 11/4 For Increased Euro Ban As Joint Favs To Succeed Worthington

11/4 ROONEY TO GET INCREASED EURO BAN

William Hill offer 11/4 that Wayne Rooney’s one match Euro 2012 finals’ suspension will be increased, and 1/ 4 that it will remain as it is. ‘Rooney’s hopes of keeping the ban at one match appear to be boosted by the referee’s comments that he accepted his sending off without protest, and it is in England’s best interests that that is the case’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
With the possibility of an increased ban Hills have lengthened their odds for Rooney to go straight back into the starting line up for the next game for which he is eligible from 2/ 5 to 1/ 2, and have shortened the odds that he will not, from 7/4 to 6/4. ‘The more games he misses the less likely he is to come straight back in, particularly if the side does well in his absence’ said Sharpe.

**WAYNE ROONEY has been lengthened from 7/2 favourite to 9/2 second favourite to be Englan’s top scorer at the Euro 2012 Finals after his sending off means he will miss at least one game. ROONEY 7/4 TO TOP SCORE FOR ENGLAND IN EURO 2012 FINALS – AND 9/2 TO BEAT BOBBY’S ALL TIME SCORING RECORD

William Hill have opened a book on who will top score in the EURO 2012 Finals for England – assuming they make it through. And despite failing to find the net against Wales, Wayne Rooney has been installed as 7/4 favourite. ‘Wayne is the most regularly played striker I the squad and deserves his place at the head of the market but granted a regular starting place in the side Andy Carroll and/or Darren Bent could well run him close’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
Hills OFFER 9/2 THAT ROONEY, WHO CURRENTLY BOASTS 28 ENGLAND GOALS, WILL EVENTUALLY OVERTAKE BOBBY CHARLTON’S ALL TIME RECORD TOTAL OF 49 FOR HIS COUNTRY. ‘As Gary Lineker and Michael Owen both discovered, Bobby Charlton’s record is a daunting target which many have aimed at but none has yet managed to better’ added Sharpe.
