Ireland 11/10 For Euro Qualification After Slovakia Stalemate

Ireland are now 11/10 shots, with William Hill, to qualify for Euro 2012 following their 1-1 draw with St. Leger gave Ireland the lead after 16 minutes, however, Durica headed Slovakia back on level terms on the 36th minute mark.

Robbie Keane had a chance from the penalty spot to put Ireland back in front, but the Spurs striker’s tame attempt was saved by the Slovak keeper.

Elsewhere in Euro 2012 qualifying Group B, Russia jumped to the top of the Group B table after they beat Macedonia 1-0.

The Russians are now the 4/11 to win Group B with William Hill who also offer 4/1 Ireland, 9/2 Slovakia, 66/1 Macedonia, 100/1 Armenia, and 2500/1 Andorra.

‘Robbie Keane’s missed penalty could come back to haunt us,’ said William Hill spokesman Tony Kenny ‘Ireland should have won the game, but it was just one of those nights.’

‘Realistically, we’re probably playing for second place – and we’re now 11/10 to qualify for the Euro’s and 4/6 not to.’

20/1 England To Play Brazil In World Cup Final

****************************************************WORLD CUP SPECIALS….BECKS……SHEFFIELD RIVALRY******************************************************

20/1 ENGLAND – BRAZIL IS WORLD CUP FINAL DRESS REHEARSAL!

WILLIAM HILL are offering 20/1 that England and Brazil, who play a weekend friendly, will meet again in the World Cup Final – and 3/1 that the two take each other on at any stage of the tournament. ‘England go into this match on good terms with themselves and as one of the countries qualifying in style for the final stages, so speculation about an England- Brazil Final may not be regarded as entirely unhinged!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
However, Hills still make Brazil 23/20 favourites to win the game, with England 2/1 and the draw 21/10. Brazil are Evens with Hills to go further than England in the World Cup, with Capello’s side 11/8 to do vice versa, and 4/1that both will be eliminated at the same stage. (3rd place play off to count if relevant).

IS BECKS NO-HOPES TO BEAT SHILTS?

DAVID BECKHAM’s absence from the squad for the Brazil game is a blow to his chances of ovrtaking Peter Shilton’s record number of caps, and William Hill have pushed him out from 3/1 to 5/1 as a consequence. ‘He now has virtually no chance of catching Shilton during the World Cup, and his best hope may be to get so close that the FA take pity on him and organise a series of friendlies to take him past Shilts. Failing that, if he does play well during the World Cup, Capello may keep him involved for the Euro qualification campaign – always assuming that the boss is still there after the World Cup’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

WILLIAM HILL are offering 1/2 that Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell will leave his club before his Wednesday counterpart, Brian Laws – a 6/4 chance to depart first.
