Spain 20/1 To Win Next Two Tournaments At Least

Spain became double European Champions and all eyes will turn to the World Cup in Brazil. William Hill make Spain 2/7 to win their qualifying group and 6/4 to do so without losing a game. Once they touch down in Brazil, the Spaniards are 11/2 joint second favourites to win. Spain have now won three major tournaments in a row and are 20/1 to carry on winning tournaments until at least the World Cup in 2018.

As the match kicked off, the focus was on Mario Balotelli, but as the game finished, he had been overshadowed by Fernando Torres who came on and scored one and set one up. Hills offer 1/2 that Torres scores more goals than Balotelli in next season’s Premier League (6/4 that he does not).

“Spain were simply unplayable tonight and have now won the right to be called the best European side ever,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “They are 20/1 to win the next two tournaments at least and the way they have played over the last eight years, it would take a brave man to be against them doing it.”

William Hill Spain Odds:

World Cup 2014 qualifying group I: 2/7 Spain; 5/2 France; 50/1 Belarus; 150/1 Finland; 200/1 Georgia

When will Spain next lose an international tournament: 1/8 World Cup 2014; 5/1 Euro 2016; 20/1 World Cup 2018 or later

You Bet: England Will Ring Changes After Carroll’s Debut Fizzles Out

You Bet: England Will Ring Changes After Carroll’s Debut Fizzles Out

England had the better of the closing stages against France, but could not overcome the two goal deficit that the visitors had amassed by the 55th minute. With a relatively untried formula and team on show tonight, William Hill believe that the England team that lines up against Wales will be a lot more recognisable and offer 11/10 that either four or five of the team that started against France line up for the Three Lions next competitive fixture. Hills offer 11/8 that three or less take to the field at the Millenium Stadium.

Andy Carroll showed glimpses of his quality in the 70 minutes that he was on although he is 2/7 to fail to start the game against Wales. He is 50/1 to be the leading scorer in Euro 2012.

Despite the minor setback of his first defeat at Wembley, Hills are odds on, at 4/11, that Capello leaves his post in 2012 and he is 10/1 to leave before the end of the year.

“Tonight’s game was not the most enjoyable of games to watch and with such an inexperienced team, it was always going to be difficult, however, Capello will surely ring the changes by the time the Wales game comes around and his side are still odds on to qualify for the Euro’s,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

William Hill England Odds:

When will Capello leave:
2010 10
2011 4
2012 4/11
2013 or later 11/2

Andy Carroll to start v Wales:

Andy Carroll to be top scorer in Euro 2012: 50/1

6 or 7 7/2
8 or more 20/1

Northern Ireland Out To 7/1 To Reach Euro’s

Northern Ireland have been pushed out to 7/1 from 6/1 to qualify for Euro 2012 following their disappointing draw 1-1 with the Faroe Islands on Tuesday afternoon.

Nigel Worthington’s side were odds on favourites to beat the minnows, but they were only saved an embarrassing defeat when Kyle Lafferty equalised in the 76th minute.

Northern Ireland are now quoted as 14/1 shots to win Group C by William Hill who make Italy the 4/11 favourites to win the Group.

‘Northern Ireland seem to have no problem competing against the big teams in Europe – it’s the lesser teams who are the problem,’ said William Hill spokesman Tony Kenny ‘They put in a brilliant performance against Italy last week, but they failed to follow it up in the Faroes.’

Ireland 11/10 For Euro Qualification After Slovakia Stalemate

Ireland are now 11/10 shots, with William Hill, to qualify for Euro 2012 following their 1-1 draw with St. Leger gave Ireland the lead after 16 minutes, however, Durica headed Slovakia back on level terms on the 36th minute mark.

Robbie Keane had a chance from the penalty spot to put Ireland back in front, but the Spurs striker’s tame attempt was saved by the Slovak keeper.

Returning Rio Ferdinand is 6/4 with William Hill to start as skipper for the remainder of England’s Euro 2012 Qualifying matches.
