Michael Laudrup has been appointed as boss of Swansea and William Hill are betting on how his troops fare without the guiding influence of Brendan Rodgers. Hills offer 4/11 that they finish lower than the 11th that they finished last season, 3/1 they finish higher than that and 6/1 they finish exactly 11th.

“Swansea we described as the Barecelona of the Premier League last season and given Laudrup’s Barca history, the transition between managers should be seamless,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “It could be argued, however, that under Rodgers, Swansea overachieved and whether they can do that again this season is questionable.”

Andre Villas Boas is the 11/8 new favourite for the Spurs job with William Hill although, two outsiders are really catching the eye. Martin Jol has been backed in from a 33/1 to 16/1 after being well backed in the last 24 hours and Jurgen Klinsmann is in to 8/1 from 12/1 after a punter in Newcastle walked into a William Hill shop and placed £200 on the former Spurs legend getting the gig.

“Despite being the early favourite, Moyes is on the drift a bit and more contenders are coming to light each day,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “It would seem that this one has a long way to run yet.”

The twittersphere was awash with rumours of Harry Redknapp quitting Spurs – rumours that were quickly silenced by the man himself, but what if they were true? Spurs were on the receiving end of a controversial decision at Wembley on Sunday and Sepp Blatter has revealed that FIFA are willing to experiment with goal-line technology in June and William Hill are offering 11/4 that it is in place for the start of the Premier League next season (1/4 it is not).

Di Matteo has only seen one defeat since he took over as Chelsea boss, but despite this, he is the 11/4 second favourite to become the next permanent Chelsea boss with Hills who go 2/1 Benitez and 11/4 Mourinho.
