Wilshere Or Carroll 11/2 To Still Play In Denmark Despite Being Left Out

Jack Wilshere and Andy Carroll have been left out of Stuart Pearce’s England U21 squad. William Hill have shortened the odds of Spain winning the tournament slightly from 5/2 to 9/4. England are 4/1 and Czech Republic are 11/2. Hills offer 11/2 that either Andy Carroll or Jack Wilshere take part in the tournament in Denmark, either due to withdrawal or injury.

Despite his fears of burning out after a tough season, Wilshere has been included in Capello’s squad to face Switzerland and he is 4/7 to start the match. England are 1/3 to win the match, while Switzerland are 6/1 to win and 10/3 to force the draw.

“Wilshere and Carroll have been left out of England’s squad after tough seasons and this has improved Spain’s chances of winning the U21 European Championships,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.
