It is believed that he was on a business trip in London and he said that this was his first ever wager which if it cops will scoop the gutsy chap a staggering £107,625. The price has been shortened from 13/8 to 6/4 and makes Germany the stand alone favourites ahead of Spain at 7/4 and Italy and Portugal both 11/2.
It is believed that the German gent was on a business trip in London and to our knowledge, he has never placed a bet before in his life, said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly. Amazingly his is the biggest single wager that we have taken over the course of this years Euros.

AGAIN England were beaten in a penalty shootout and William Hill are now betting on when they will actually win one and they are 8/1 to fail to win one until after Euro 2020.
“The hopes of a nation have once again been dashed from 12 yards and it is impossible to ever see England winning a shootout,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.
On the plus side for William Hill, England’s exit has eliminated a £1m plus liability.
ENGLAND are 14/1 to win the World Cup in Brazil in 2014.

Spain were somewhat upset by Italy in their opening group game of the Euros although the ain talking point continues to be the ever declining form of Fernando Torres. William Hill offer 7/4 that he gets no more minutes during the tournament. He is 1/6 to score no goals at the Euros and 2/7 to fail to start the next game for Spain.
Four years ago, as Spain won this trophy, Torres could do no wrong, now, however, it seems as though the golden boy has well and truly fallen from grace and it may not be just goals that he is struggling for but minutes as well, said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly.

Croatia sit atop Group C after defeating Republic of Ireland but despite their draw today, Spain and Italy remain favourites to make it through to the knockout stages. William Hill make Spain 1/5 to go through and 3/1 second favourites to win the tournament. Ireland, however, are 9/1 to qualify from their group and a huge 100/1 to win the tournament.
Given how difficult Irelands group is, this was a game where the boys in green needed to get something, said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly. Unfortunately that was not the case and they now face even more of an uphill challenge.
