Carroll Set To Partner Rooney…terry Captain But For How Long?
Andy Carroll looks primed to start against Wales on Saturday, with William Hill offering 7/4 that he partners Wayne Rooney up front. Jermaine Defoe is the 9/4 second favourite and Darren Bent at 3/1. Carroll is Even money to get off the mark at any point during the course of the game and 4/1 to bag the first goal of the game. A lot of the build up to the game has been dominated by Fabio Capellos decision to hand the captains armband back to John Terry and Hills are offering 3/1 that he is stripped of the honour again before he retires.
Andy Carroll had an impressive debut for England and will be looking to build on that in the match against Wales, with a goal not looking unlikely, said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly.
Gareth Bale will undoubtedly be Wales star man and William Hill are offering 14/1 that he wins Man Of The Match on Saturday. Former captain, Craig Bellamy looks set to start and Hills are offering 11/2 that either he or Gareth Bale open the scoring. Hills are taking bets on where Bellamy will be playing next season, offering 5/2 that he stays at Cardiff and the same price that he returns to Manchester City.
