Andy Carroll looks primed to start against Wales on Saturday, with William Hill offering 7/4 that he partners Wayne Rooney up front. Jermaine Defoe is the 9/4 second favourite and Darren Bent at 3/1. Carroll is Even money to get off the mark at any point during the course of the game and 4/1 to bag the first goal of the game. A lot of the build up to the game has been dominated by Fabio Capello’s decision to hand the captain’s armband back to John Terry and Hills are offering 3/1 that he is stripped of the honour again before he retires.

“Andy Carroll had an impressive debut for England and will be looking to build on that in the match against Wales, with a goal not looking unlikely,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Gareth Bale will undoubtedly be Wales’ star man and William Hill are offering 14/1 that he wins Man Of The Match on Saturday. Former captain, Craig Bellamy looks set to start and Hills are offering 11/2 that either he or Gareth Bale open the scoring. Youngster Kyle To Wait A While To Walker On For England

Kyle Walker is in line to make his England debut but the odds suggest that if the call to make an appearance does arrive, it will have to come off the bench. He is 5/2 with William Hill to start against Denmark on Wednesday while Glen Johnson is 1/4 to feature as Capello’s starting right-back. Fabio Capello has stated that Jack Wilshere is the future of the England team and he is 2/7 to start.

“There is no doubting Kyle Walker’s potential, but his call up has come very early in his career. Two weeks ago, we were still offering odds of 5/1 that Walker would win a cap within the next two years,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

A lot of attention will be focused on Capello’s strikers with Wayne Rooney likely to lead the line. The Man United striker is 4/1 to score first, while Hills are offering 9/5 that he scores at any time and England win. Tottenham appear to be the most likely Premier League side to provide England’s first scorer at 15/8, while Aston Villa are 9/4.

WILL CAPELLO TAKE HARTY APPROACH TO HUNGARY?

WILLIAM HILL have opened a book on which players might get the nod to start England’s friendly against Hungary next week, and make Joe Hart 2/9 to be between the sticks when the game kicks off – although the Man City custodian is NOT favourite to start in goal for his club’s opening Premier League game, with Hills making Shay Given 4/7 to start that game with Hart at 5/4. ‘Hart is in the unusual position of being expected to be first choice for his country yet under-study at his club’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

Hills make Jack Wilshere a 7/2 shot to start against Hungary, with Darren Bent 5/1 to start up front. ‘Wilshere’s price might tempt Arsene Wenger to have a flutter’ said Sharpe.

Will Capello Dare Drop Rooney Next Time Out? You Bet!

Capello 10/3 to drop Rooney for next game:

FABIO ODDS ON TO STICK AROUND UNTIL 2012
WILLIAM HILL now make 2012 their 8/11 favourite to be the year in which Fabio Capello ceases to be England manager. ‘Fabio has somehow defied the odds and his critics to retain his job, but he still faces the small matter of Euro 2012 qualification which, on paper, should be straightforward’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe. ‘We expect him to blood some new players in the August friendly against Hungary and have opened a book on who might start the game’
Despite Capello hitning at bringing in new faces for the Hungary friendly Hills still make Rooney, Terry, Gerrard and Lampard odds-on shots to start the match. (See prices below)

HILLS have lengthened Harry Redknapp’s odds of becoming the next England manager from 13/8 to 9/4 favourite, but slashed Roy Hodgson from 6/1 to 11/4 second favourite. ‘Who knows what Harry’s fortunes will be once the job becomes vacant, but if Hodgson impresses at Anfield he could well be in just the right place at just the right time to take over if Capello departs in 2012’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

WILL FABIO PUNISH TERRY ‘MISTAKE’?
AFTER ACCUSING John Terry of making a ‘big mistake’ by speaking out and criticising aspects of his regime, William Hill offer 11/2 that Fabio Capello will drop his former skipper for nthe vital game against Slovenia.

WILLIAM HILL NOW MAKE John Terry, Glen Johnson;Ashley Cole; Wayne Rooney; Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard 4/1 co-favourites to play the most minutes for England during the World Cup with Emile Heskey and Aaron Lennon both 50/1 shots. ‘It looks between the six ever-presents, particuarly as the next game could be the last!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

YOU BET ROONEY WILL BE SORRY AGAIN!
WAYNE ROONEY is 6/1 with William Hill to have to issue ANOTHER official apology for some trangression during England’s game against Slovenia. ‘After the booing incident, for which he had had to formally apologise, we wouldn’t be surprised if there was another incident of similar type should England under-perform again on Wednesday’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe. Hills have already cut their odds for Rooney to be red-carded in the game against Slovenia from 33/1 to 20/1.
HILLS ALSO OFFER 6/4 THAT ROONEY WILL BE SUBBED; 5/2 HE WILL BE BOOKED; 8/1 HE IS DROPPED;16/1 HE WILL GESTURE AT THE FANS – (NOT IN A NICE WAY!);

Rooney Backed To Be Red Carded

ROONEY BACKED TO BE SENT OFF

WILLIAM HILL have cut their odds for Wayne Rooney to be sent off in England’s match against Slovenia from 33/1 to 20/1. ‘We’re not taking much money for England win anything at the moment – but we’ve seen great interest in the odds for Rooney to be sent off against Slovenia following his after-match outburst and have cut the price from 33/1 to 20/1’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
HILLS ALS OFFER 6/4 THAT ROONEY WILL BE SUBBED; 5/2 HE WILL BE BOOKED; 8/1 HE IS DROPPED;16/1 HE WILL GESTURE AT THE FANS – (NOT IN A NICE WAY!);

WILL FABIO KEEP JOE-KING WITH SELECTION?

DESPITE numerous calls for Joe Cole to be recalled to England’s starting line up, William Hill offer 7/4 that it will happen – and go 2/5 that Capello will refuse to start him. ‘Joe Cole seems to be the pivotal point of the disaffection between Capello and many England fans who want his flair in the team rather than the now routine pragmatism, some say predictability, of his line-ups’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharfpe.
HILLS OFFER 2/5 that Aaron Lennon WILL start, 7/4 not to; 4/9 that Upson will start (13/8 not to); 6/4 that Heskey will start (1/2 not to); 13/8 that Dawson will start (4/9 not to).

YOU BET THERE’S A WORLDWIDE INTERNET GAMBLE ON ENGLAND AND SPAIN

BOOKMAKERS William Hill, who take bets from punters in 188 countries worldwide, say that punters betting online can’t split England and Spain as their favourites. ‘We always expect England to be the most popular choice in our betting shops, but online is a different matter – although we are taking bets from many ex-pat punters we also deal with clients from virtually every country in the world. By and large their choices are closely in line with the betting, although Ivory Coast and USA are perhaps punching above their odds weight!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.’We are expecting that World Cup turnover online will account for up to 25% of our total tournament betting turnover’

WILLIAM HILL have opened a book on who will be the first England player to be substituted at the World Cup. ‘Injuries, tactics or players being rested could be the reason for Fabio substituting players, but at this stage it’s anyone’s guess who’ll be the first to receive that unwanted honour!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
