Can Ireland Succeed Or Will They Get Caught In A Trap? England/france Biggest Group Game

Group C kicks off on Sunday with Italy 4/1 to defeat Euros holders Spain who are 8/11 for the three points and 4/7 to win the group. Hills are offering a goals match bet for the game tomorrow and make Torres 9/4 to outscore Mario Ballotelli with the Italian 16/5 to do likewise.

Republic of Ireland face a tough challenge in group C with Italy and Spain favoured to go through and they are the 13/5 outsiders to win their opening game against Croatia. Robbie Keane netted seven times in qualifying and he is 13/2 to grab the first goal of the game although Everton’s star man, Nikica Jelavic heads the market at 11/2. Hills offer 12/5 that Jelavic scores more than Robbie Keane in Sunday’s match with the LA Galaxy striker 13/5.

“It is going to be tricky for Republic of Ireland but Trappatoni’s men are a well organised unit and if there is anyone at the tournament who might be able to trump the Italians, it will be him,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Andy Carroll looks primed to start against Wales on Saturday, with William Hill offering 7/4 that he partners Wayne Rooney up front. Jermaine Defoe is the 9/4 second favourite and Darren Bent at 3/1. Carroll is Even money to get off the mark at any point during the course of the game and 4/1 to bag the first goal of the game. A lot of the build up to the game has been dominated by Fabio Capello’s decision to hand the captain’s armband back to John Terry and Hills are offering 3/1 that he is stripped of the honour again before he retires.

“Andy Carroll had an impressive debut for England and will be looking to build on that in the match against Wales, with a goal not looking unlikely,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Gareth Bale will undoubtedly be Wales’ star man and William Hill are offering 14/1 that he wins Man Of The Match on Saturday. Former captain, Craig Bellamy looks set to start and Hills are offering 11/2 that either he or Gareth Bale open the scoring. Chelsea Getting Ever Closer…but When Will Torres Score?

Fernando Torres failed to find the net again although William Hill are offering 4/5 that he bags his first Chelsea goal at Stamford Bridge against Copenhagen next week. 7/1 is on offer for him to fail to find the net for the next five matches. Defeat left Blackpool dangling perilously over the relegation trapdoor and thus increased the probability of star man, Charlie Adam, leaving the club. Hills are offering 13/8 that he leaves for Tottenham in the Summer, while 5/2 is on offer for him to join the Kenny Dalglish revolution at Anfield.

“Torres looks more worth 50p than £50 million at the moment, but he is a quality forward but we are expecting him to take us for a small fortune when he does eventually score,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “Possibly staring with Copenhagen next week.”

Blackpool are only two points off relegation now and Hills have them as Even money (from 6/5) to be relegated at the end of the season, while Chelsea on the other hand have closed the gap on Manchester United and have been cut from 14/1 to 7/1 to retain their Premier League crown. “Chelsea are well and truly over their slump…write them off at your peril!”

Which Club Will Charlie Adam Be At On First Day Of Next Season: 13/8 Tottenham; 5/2 Liverpool; 5/1 Blackpool; 10/1 Manchester United; 16/1 German Club; 20/1 Spanish Club; 25/1 Italian Club

Premier League Relegation: 2/7 Wigan; 1/1 Blackpool; 6/5 Wolves; 11/8 West Ham; 7/4 West Brom; 9/4 Birmingham; 3/1 Blackburn; 10/1 BAR
