Hills also offer 3/1 Jewell; 5/1 Megson; 7 Southgate; 8 Horton; 10 Reid; 12 Coppell; Hughes.

Darling Backed To Do Dirty On Brown

GAMBLE ON DARLING TO DO DIRTY ON BROWN

WITH RUMOURS that plotters in the Labour Party are planning an effort to remove Gordon Brown as Leader, William Hill have slashed their odds about Alastair Darling succeeding him from 66/1 to 33/1. ‘Political punters seem to believe that another effort to unseat Gordon Brown is on the verge of being launched and we have seen considerable betting interest in Alastair Darling taking over’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
And Hills have also cut their odds about Gordon Brown being forced out or resigning before the next general Election from 6/4 to 5/4, but make him 4/7 still to be Leader when the Election takes place.
Alan Johnson is 6/4 favourite to succeed Brown with Hills who also offer: 7/1 Harriet Harman; 7/1 David Miliband; 8/1 Peter Mandelson; 10/1 Ed Miliband; 12/1 Jon Cruddas; James Purnell; 16/1 Ed Balls; Andy Burnham; Jack Straw; 33/1 Alastair Darling.
