WITH LIVERPOOL’S proposed takeover apparently imminent, William Hill are betting on whether the takeover will be formally approved by the end of this month, and have opened a book on what may happen to the club as a result.
‘The Liverpool soap-opera would rival Coronation Street for plot twists and you couldn’t entirely rule out a change of name for the club to ‘Redsox’ should they end up under the same umbrella ownership as the Bostonians of that name!’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
