Pompey Drop Odds Cut

Portsmouth slashed from 6/1 to 6/4 for drop:
COULD FINANCIAL WOES SINK POMPEY?

BOOKMAKERS William Hill have cut their odds about Portsmouth being relegated this season from 15/8 to 6/4 after runours of financial meltdown at the club swept the world of bookmaking.
‘We began to hear stories during the afternoon, suggesting that Portsmouth may be in danger of going into administration, so reacted accordingly by cutting their relegation odds just in case there might be something in it – the gamble on Portsmouth to go down has been developing all the way through the close season as the much vaunted takeover has failed to take place. At one time they were 6/1 for the drop – but that price is long gone’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
