After two 2-0 victories for the two Manchester sides, the advantage stays on Manchester City and William Hill make them 1/9 to lift the Premier League trophy while Manchester United are 5/1. Following the dominance of both sides this season, Hills are now betting on when the League is won by anyone but the blues or reds from Manchester. Next season is the 7/4 favourite although it is 2/1 for the trophy to not be lifted by Manchester until 2015/16 or later.

“Despite the two sides being level on points, the fate of the Premier League trophy rests firmly with City and only an unlikely defeat to QPR next weekend will prevent them from lifting their first Premier League title,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

The title race could take yet another twist on Sunday with both Manchester sides in action. Rumours abound that Andy Carroll could be on his way back to Newcastle as his Liverpool career has struggled to take off.
