Team Gb: Can Becks And Pearce Lead 5/1 Men To Victory?

Stuart Pearce and Hope Powell have been confirmed as the coaches of the Team GB football sides for the 2012 Olympics and William Hill offer 5/6 that no non-English players line up in Stuart Pearce’s first match in charge. 4/1 is offered for one to take to the field while it is 5/1 for four or more to do so. David Beckham has already announced his desire to play in the Olympics and he is 4/7 to be called into the squad. He is 7/4 to start the first match and 7/2 to score at any point during the tournament.

William Hill offer 5/1 that Stuart Pearce leads the men to glory in London while Hope Powell is 8/1 to do the same for the women.

“Having named their coaches, the hard work begins in earnest and the odds suggest that both sides will need to be at their very best to grab gold in London,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Beckham to captain the GB Olympic team in the opening match: 7/4
Beckham to score for the GB Olympic team during the Olympics 2012 (penalty shoot outs do not count): 7/2
