Van Persie Just 1/10 For Pfa Player Of The Year
Robin van Persie is the 1/10 favourite to win the PFA Player of the Year award with William Hill after a fantastic season that has seen him score 27 goals so far this season. After starting the season so well, David Silva is the second favourite, some way behind van Persie at 7/1 with Wayne Rooney at 10/1.
There have been some fantastic players on show this year in the Premier League, but van Persie really stands out from the crowd, said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly.
Surprisingly not in the shortlist for the senior player of the year, Gareth Bale heads the betting for the PFA Young Player of the Year at 4/7 although Sergio Aguero is just behind him at 5/4 with Daniel Sturridge and Danny Welbeck 14/1 joint third favourites.
