78% Of Money Gambled Is For Harry To Be England Boss
78% OF MONEY GAMBLED IS FOR HARRY TO BE ENGLAND BOSS
..
BETTING support for Harry Redknapp has seen 78% of the cash William Hill have so far taken on the Next England Manager market since Capello resigned, gambled on the Spurs boss, with Stuart Pearce attracting 8.7% in second place, and Guus Hiddink 6.5% in third.
However, in terms of individual bets placed, Pearce is leading the way with 25% of bets struck, ahead of Hiddink in 2nd with 22% and Redknapp in third with 21%.
The discrepancy can probably be explained that Harry Redknapp is currently offered at odds of 4/11 ,which are unlikely to appeal to a gambler with a fiver in his or her pocket, whereas Pearce is quoted at 11/2 and Hiddink 12/1 said Hills spokesman Graham Sharpe.
WILLIAM HILL- NEXT PERMANENT ENGLAND BOSS- 4/11 Redknapp; 11/2 Pearce; 10 Mourinho; 12 Hiddink; Hodgson. Others on request.
