Fabregas Now Odds-on To Leave Arsenal

Bookmakers William Hill have cut the price for Cesc Fabregas to leave Arsenal this summer from 11-10 to 8-11 following intense speculation in the Spanish press that he will re-join Barcelona this summer.
Catalan newspaper El Mundo Deportivo claim Fabregas has told family and friends that he has agreed a four-year deal with the Blaugrana.
Leading Spanish newspaper, Marca have also added fuel to the story. They quote the Arsenal skipper as saying “I want to make a decision about my future before the start of the World Cup. It’s impossible to perform at a tournament like the World Cup if you’re not fully focused on the sporting aspects of the game. I don’t want to be distracted by transfer talk.”
William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe said “The Spanish media seem to believe that it is a done deal and the money seems to suggest that he’ll be playing at the Camp Nou next season.”

1/14 ROONEY PLAYER OF YEAR DOUBLE

WAYNE ROONEY is red hot favourite to win BOTH the PFA Player of the Year and the Young Player of the Year Award, following the release of the shortlists. Hills offer 1/14 that the United and England star will land a memorable double – and 13/2 that he fails to do so. ‘Rooney has been around so long it is something of a surprise to find him still eligible to be the Young Player of the Year, but all the indications are that he will make off with both trophies’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
