Home Nations Horror: You Bet England Only Side To Qualify For World Cup!

The World Cup draw in Rio provided quite the fillip for disillusioned England fans as they were drawn in the same group as Montenegro, Poland, Ukraine, Moldova and San Marino. England are 1/3 to win their group and 1/10 to qualify for the finals in Brazil. England are also2/1 to remain unbeaten for the entirety of their qualifying group.

Northern Ireland face a tough time qualifying from their group and Hills have them at 33/1 to win their group and the same price to qualify.

Republic of Ireland drew Germany and Sweden and have to be considered contenders in their group and Hills have them at 13/2 to win it and 5/2 to qualify for the finals. Germany are 1/4 to win Group C and Sweden are 4/1.

In perhaps the most intriguing group, Scotland and Wales have been draw together and Hills have priced the pair at 11/4 and 50/1 respectively to qualify.

Hills are also offering a market on how many of the Home nations (including Rep Ireland) qualify for the World Cup in 2014 and make one the 8/11 favourite, although two is offered at 5/4. For three or more is 12/1.

“It is going to be very difficult for the Home nations and the odds suggest that there will only be one side who qualifies and they also suggest that it will be England who do so,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.
