MILLWALL boss Kenny Jackett has been backed from 20/1 to 5/2 favourite with William Hill to succeed John Toshack as permanent manager of Wales after a flurry of bets of up to £200 (struck at 8/1) a time. ‘Some substantial bets in Wales and Worcester, on what has been a quiet market thus far have sent Jackett’s odds tumbling – it wouldn’t suit us if he were to pocket the job – the stakes weren’t just buttons, we now face a five figure payout after this off the cuff gamble’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
