Following John Toshack’s resignation as Wales manager, Kenny Jackett is the favourite to take over. The Millwall boss priced at 5/2 with William Hill, who make Brian Flynn and Chris Coleman their 3/1 joint second favourites. Derby County midfielder Robbie Savage is an outside bet at 66/1 to get the job.

The new manager is facing an uphill challenge to get Wales to the European Championships with them priced at 20/1 to qualify for the tournament and 40/1 to win the group.

“It was no secret that Toshack was about to step down, so the Welsh FA are likely to have already formulated a shortlist. The odds would suggest that Kenny Jackett is at the top of this list,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.
