Brazil Odds On For Olympic Gold As Nearest Rivals Fall

Brazil made it two wins out of two at London 2012 on Sunday. With Spain’s early elimination and Uruguay flattering to deceive the Samba Boys are currently odds on 8/13 with William Hill to win Olympic Gold.

The Brazilian’s shining light is Neymar and he is 7/4 to top the scoring charts after a wonderful free kick against Belarus took his tally to two. Team GB scored an impressive victory against the United Arab Emirates and they are now joint second favourites with Japan at 7/1 for gold.

“Team GB looked a lot better on Sunday than they had previously but Brazil look a class above. With Spain’s elimination it is no surprise that Brazil have gone odds on after netting six times in two games,” said William Hill spokesman Mark Young.
