Gb Living Dangerously As A Draw Will Do
Team GB square up against Uruguay on Wednesday night knowing that a draw will see them qualify from the Group. GB are the 6/4 slight favourites with William Hill. Underperforming Uruguay are 13/8 and the draw is 11/5.
Senegal are 10/11 favs to top Group A, GB an 11/10 chance to top the group and Uruguay the current outsiders at 5/1. Liverpool and Uruguay striker Luis Suarez is 6/1 to net first against GB and 7/4 any time, both prices shared by Chelsea forward Daniel Sturridge. Highly rated Napoli forward Edinson Cavani has not had the best of tournaments so far but is 13/2 to turn that around with the opener on Wednesday. Gb captain Ryan Giggs is 12/1 to open the scoring again as he did against UAE.
It is a difficult situation for team GB as they face a top side knowing a draw will be enough. Uruguay need to win so an entertaining affair should be on the cards as the South Americans will go looking for goals in their quest for gold, said William Hill spokesman Mark Young.
