10,000/1 Your Prem-onition Comes True!

William Hill are taking the unprecedented step of inviting their punters to predict the finishing order of all 20 sides in the Premier League, offering odds of 10,000/1 to do so. “This is a bet that could potentially run until the final day of the season and has a high return for a minimal stake,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “All football fans have strong opinions on who will finish where and we are now offering them the chance to profit from their Prem-onitions.” The odds are the same whether you pick Manchester United or Norwich to win the League or Chelsea or Swansea to finish bottom.

Manchester United are the 6/4 favourites to lift the Premier League trophy this season, while Chelsea are 11/4. Liverpool, however have been the best backed side with over 30% of all bets on the Premier League outright being placed on Kenny Dalglish’s men, who are 10/1. At the other end of the table, the three promoted sides, are the three favourites for the drop, with Swansea 4/9, Norwich 4/7 and QPR 6/4.

Premier League: Brotherly Love Or Sibling Rivalry?

John Arne Riise joined Fulham early on Wednesday and joined his brother, Bjorn Helge. The Riises became the fourth set of brothers playing together in the Premier League and Hills make them 7/2 to start the most games between them. The Toure brothers lead the market at 5/6 while the da Silva brothers are 2/1. The Ameobis are the 12/1 outsiders.

“With four sets of siblings strutting their stuff in the Premier League, it looks like the Toures will rule the roost much like the Klitschkos while the Ameobis may as well be renamed the Chuckle brothers,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

The first manager to go market has been particularly volatile during this close season with gambles seeing Neil Warnock and Sir Alex Ferguson’s odds slashed from 16/1 and 40/1 respectively to 11/4 and 12/1.

“We have so far seen two heavy gambles on both Warnock and Sir Alex to be the first to leave their jobs and now the dust has settled, the QPR boss is the favourite to go and appears to be under pressure even though no ball has been kicked in anger this season,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Samir Nasri started Arsenal’s first pre-season match of the season on the bench and William Hill offer 4/6 that he has left the club by the first game of the 2011/12 season. He is 11/10 to stay at the Emirates. Should Samir Nasri leave, it looks as though Manchester City will be his likely destination, offered at 8/13, while Manchester United are 6/5. His team mate, Cesc Fabregas is 2/5 to have left the club by the end of the Summer transfer window.

Premier League Brothers:

Most Combined Starts: 5/6 Toures; 2/1 Da Silvas; 5/2 Riise; 8/1 Ameobis

Most Combined Cards: 6/4 Toures; 13/8 Da Silvas; 5/2 Riise; 8/1 Ameobis

Mark My Words – Sparky Gamble May Be Extnguished

MARK MY WORDS – HE MAY NOT GET THE JOB!

BETTING SUPPORT for Mark Hughes to become Aston Villa boss has dramatically dried up – and William Hill have lengthened his odds from 1/3 to 4/5 favourite. ‘Having been backed as though the job was about to be handed to him, support for Mark Hughes to become Villa boss tailed off dramatically during the afternoon’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.
However, 7/2 second favourite Steve McLaren and 5/1 third favourite Carlo Ancelotti have both attracted support.
Hills also make Rafa Benitez 6/1, Roberto Martinez 7/1 and Martin Jol 10/1. ‘This particular market may have longer to run than many sspected’ added Sharpe.

Arry Backed To Be Next Boss Out This Season As Villa 11/4 To Drop Into Bottom 3

REDKNAPP BACKED TO BE NEXT BOSS OUT

Harry Redknapp has been backed from 100/1 to 9/1 to be the next Premier League manager to leave his club this season with William Hill who make Steve Kean 8/13 favourite with Roberto Martinez 4/1; Gerard Houllier 5/1; Roberto Mancini 10/1; Carlo Ancelotti 12/1. Hills offer 13/8 that no more managers will leave this season. ‘We have seen a number of new clients opening accounts purely to bet on Harry being the next to go this season and although we can see no possible reason why this should happen we’ve had to react to the money as no one else is being backed at the moment’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

WILL HOULLIER STILL BE VILLAIN NEXT SEASON?

ASTON VILLA are 11/4 with William Hill to drop into the bottom three after this weekend’s Premier League matches- and Hills make their boss, Gerard Houllier 6/5 to be gone before the start of next season – and 5/1 to be the next manager to go this season. ‘If Houllier thinks he’s under pressure now, he’ll soon realize that matters can get much worse should Villa slip into the relegation zone after this round of games’ said Hill’s spokesman Graham Sharpe.

VILLA are 13/2 to be relegated with Hills who make Wigan 2/5 favourites for the drop (7/4 to stay up) and also offer 5/4 Blackpool; 6/4 West Ham; 13/8 WBA; 7/4 Birmingham; 2/1 Wolves; 2/1 Blackburn.
