Man City: Out With The Old In With The New?

William Hill are taking bets on how many of Manchester City’s starting XI from the final game of last season will start the first game of this one. With the spending spree set to continue, Hills offer just 13/8 that only 3 or 4 make the line up against Spurs on the 14th of August. With two of the players from City’s 1-1 draw with West Ham having left the club already and a somewhat depleted XI starting the game, Hill’s are offering 8/1 that 8 or 9 start.

“City have made no secret of their desire to bringin players of the highest quality in an attempt to improve on their 5th place last season and they could probably make 3 or 4 starting XIs out of the squad that they have amassed. The odds suggest that Mancini will be keen to blood his new signings against Tottenham,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Torres Odds On To Stay But 7/2 For City Move!

With a number of clubs itching to get their hands on Fernando Torres’s signiture, Hills have opened a book on which club he will represent on the first day of the season and perhaps surprisingly he is 1/2 to still be a Liverpool player. Moneybags Man City are 7/2 and Chelsea 8/1.

“There are very few teams who can afford Torres price tag, as a result we feel that he will remain a Liverpool player,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.
