Frank Favourite Ahead Of Terry To Lift Cl Trophy

After the news that John Terry WILL be allowed to lift the Champions League trophy should Chelsea win, William Hill have reformed their market that initially had the club captain at 20/1 to be the first player to lift the cup. John Terry is now 11/8 second favourite to lift the trophy should Chelsea win, with Frank Lampard 4/5.

“John Terry is Mr Chelsea and there will be clamour amongst those who support the club for their club captain to lift the trophy,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Who will lift the Champions League trophy first: 4/5 Frank Lampard; 11/8 John Terry; 9/1 Didier Drogba; 9/1 Roberto Di Matteo; 14/1 Ashley Cole; 20/1 Petr Cech; 40/1 Fernando Torres…others on request
* Bets void if Chelsea do not win trophy ** Dead heat rules apply if two or more players lift trophy at same time

Exhaulted Kompany: Vincent Hot Favourite For City Armband

With the future of Carlos Tevez still to be decided, Hills are now betting on who will replace the striker as Captain of Manchester City on the first day of the upcoming season. Hills make Vincent Kompany the 1/4 red-hot favourite, while Yaya Toure is 7/2 second favourite. Garethe Barry is 9/2, Joe Hart 8/1, Lescott 10/1, David Silva 20/1 and Emmanuel Adebayor 100/1.

“Kompany has shown his leadership qualities, deputising in the absence of Tevez and Toure last season and it looks as though he will be the go-to man when City walk out at the start of next season,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Arsene Wenger has given Barcelona a two week window to make their move to sign Cesc Fabregas and William Hill have slightly cut the odds of him staying at the Emirates, at least during this transfer window, from 7/4 to 6/4.

William Hill Odds:

Manchester City Captain On The First Day Of The Season*: 1/4 Vincent Kompany; 7/2 Yaya Toure; 9/2 Gareth Barry; 8/1 Joe Hart; 10/1 Joleon Lescott; 20/1 David Silva; 100/1 Emmanuel Adebayor
* Not club captain but wearing the armband on the opening game of the 2011/12 season

Cesc Fabregas at Arsenal at the end of the Summer Transfer Window: 6/4 yes; 1/2 no
