Connor Already Odds On To Be Thrown To The Wolves By Next Season!

Wolves have today announced Terry Connor as their manager until the end of the season but whether Wolves stay up or go down (5/4 stay up / 4/7 relegation), William Hill are odds on at 8/11 that he is not in charge on the first day of next season (Even money to still be there). A new manager can often galvanise a push up the table but Hills offer 50/1 that they finish in the top half of the table, 9/2 11th – 14th and 2/1 15th – 17th.

Wolves are 5/1 to win Connor’s first match in charge and are 8/1 to finish the weekend at the foot of the table. Wigan are the 4/9 favourites, with Bolton 5/2, Blackburn 10/1 and QPR 25/1.

“We feel that Connor may well be in a lose/lose situation. Should he keep Wolves up, he may have to make way for a more experienced man and should they go down, he may have to leave for not being good enough,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Bridge Beginning To Bend Under Weight Of Expectation

Andre Villas Boas is under intense pressure at Chelsea and should things not go his way against Bolton on Saturday, he could be on his way. He is odds on at 2/5 to no longer be at Chelsea on the first day of next season.

Wednesday Specials…relegation Battle, Wenger And Senegalese Hotshots

Three of the sides involved in the Premier League relegation battle are involved on Wednesday’s Premier League fixtures and William Hill are betting on how many points Bolton, Blackburn and QPR get between them. Hills offer 66/1 that all three sides win and 7/1 that all three lose. Hills also offer 2/7 that QPR are the highest placed out of the three Premier League teams following Wednesday’s fixtures.

Arsenal take on Bolton followed swiftly by a match against fellow strugglers Blackburn, who beat them earlier in the campaign, and two victories could see them back in the race for a top four place, Blackburn and William Hill offer 11/10 that they take maximum points from the two games. Two defeats, however and Arsene Wenger could be under intense pressure. Hills go 33/1 that they are beaten twice. Arsene Wenger is 11/10 to have left Arsenal by the first game of next season and 11/4 to be the boss of Real Madrid come the first game of next season.

“These two Arsenal matches could defining in more ways than one and two victories for the Gunners could have a massive impact at both ends of the table,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Hills make Robin van Persie 5/4 to outscore the rest of the Arsenal team against Bolton.

Newcastle’s two Senegalese strikers could be back from International duty to play against Blackburn and William Hill go 11/4 that Demba Ba scores more than new boy, Papiss Cisse in the match (10/3 vice versa and 4/7 for the tie).
