You Bet Two Big Money Strikers Are On The Move

With Roberto Mancini all but ruling out a move for Robin van Persie this summer, William Hill have eased Manchester City’s odds of signing the Arsenal striker. Manchester United are in pole position at Even money to be Van Persie’s next club, with Italian champions Juventus 13/8. It seems to be a race between those three clubs with Barcelona fourth favourites at 20/1.

Despite Arsenal starting to make signings that could potentially keep RVP at the Emirates, it appears to be a case of too little, too late and he is 4/11 to have left the club by the start of the season.

“Rather surprisingly, Alex Ferguson has been very public in his desire to sign van Persie and this shows how desperate he is to get his man after Nasri snubbed the Reds for the Blues last year and it looks like he may well succeed,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

The other big name likely to be on the move this summer is Andy Carroll and William Hill offer 1/2 for his next club to be West Ham with Sam Allardyce reportedly keen on the big striker. He is 9/4 to return to Newcastle and 7/1 to join Aston Villa.

Robin van Persie next club: 1/1 Manchester United; 13/8 Juventus; 15/8 Manchester City; 20/1 Barcelona; 25/1 AC Milan; 25/1 PSG; 25/1 Real Madrid; 33/1 BAR

Crouch Wonder Goal Stands Tall Over Rivals

Despite hitting a fantastic goal against Chelsea, Papiss Cisse is not at the top of the betting for this year’s Match of the Day Goal of the Season. Peter Crouch’s effort for Stoke vs Manchester City is 10/11 then followed by Cisse’s second effort at Stamford Bridge at 6/5. Luis Suarez’s effort from the halfway line against Norwich is the 6/1 third favourite followed by any other goal at 16/1.

“It looks like it will be a two horse race for the Goal of the Season honour and we think it could still go either way,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Blanc Cut For Chelsea Job…4/1 Phantom Penalties At Old Trafford…1000/1 Ben Arfa Ballon D’or

Laurent Blanc has been cut from 12/1 to 7/1 to become the next Chelsea boss after various news reports indicating that Roman Abrahmovic is desperate to land the Frenchman as AVB’s permanent replacement. Jose Mourinho is the 9/4 favourite with Roberto Di Matteo 10/3 and Pep Guardiola 9/2. Claudio Ranieri has been sacked as Inter manager and William Hill are offering 3/1 that Andre Villas Boas gets the job.

“Because of what he did at Porto, AVB’s stock is still pretty high despite his nightmare stint at Chelsea and he could be quickly back on the managerial merry-go-round,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Manchester United moved three points clear at the top of the Premier League thanks to referee, Michael Oliver, missing what seemed like a blatant penalty and William Hill are offering 4/1 for any opposition team to win a penalty at Old Trafford during the rest of the season.

“Phantom penalties are nothing new at Old Trafford and the odds suggest that opposition sides will be up against it again,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Having moved three points clear, Hills are now offering a market on how many points Manchester United win the League by. They are 9/4 to fail to win the League and 11/2 to win the league on goal difference. They are 11/4 to win by one to three points and the same price to win by four to six points. They are 4/1 to win the League by seven or more points.

Papiss Demba Cisse has claimed that Hatem Ben Arfa is as good as Messi when he plays at his best but William Hill think the mercurial Frenchman has a way to go to reach those levels, offering 1000/1 that he wins the Ballon D’Or this season, compared to 2/7 Messi and 3/1 Ronaldo.

William Hill Odds:

Next Permanent Chelsea Boss: 9/4 Jose Mourinho; 10/3 Roberto Di Matteo; 9/2 Pep Guardiola; 7/1 Laurent Blanc; 8/1 Joachim Low; 8/1 Rafael Benitez; 10/1 David Moyes; 11/1 Fabio Capello; 20/1 BAR

3/1 AVB to become next Inter Milan manager

How many points will Man Utd win the league by?
Not win the league 9/4
Goal difference 11/2
1-3 points 11/4
4-6 points 11/4
7 points or more 4/1

4/1 Any away side to be awarded a penalty at Old Trafford for the remainder of the season

Ballon D’Or 2012: 2/7 Messi; 3/1 Ronaldo; 1000/1 Ben Arfa

Three of the sides involved in the Premier League relegation battle are involved on Wednesday’s Premier League fixtures and William Hill are betting on how many points Bolton, Blackburn and QPR get between them. Hills offer 66/1 that all three sides win and 7/1 that all three lose. Hills also offer 2/7 that QPR are the highest placed out of the three Premier League teams following Wednesday’s fixtures.

Arsenal take on Bolton followed swiftly by a match against fellow strugglers Blackburn, who beat them earlier in the campaign, and two victories could see them back in the race for a top four place, Blackburn and William Hill offer 11/10 that they take maximum points from the two games. Two defeats, however and Arsene Wenger could be under intense pressure. Hills go 33/1 that they are beaten twice. Arsene Wenger is 11/10 to have left Arsenal by the first game of next season and 11/4 to be the boss of Real Madrid come the first game of next season.

Newcastle’s two Senegalese strikers could be back from International duty to play against Blackburn and William Hill go 11/4 that Demba Ba scores more than new boy, Papiss Cisse in the match (10/3 vice versa and 4/7 for the tie).
