Europa League Specials As Europes Second Competition Set To Kick Off
The Europa League first round kicks off on Thursday and William Hill make Tottenham the favourites of all the British sides taking part this year to progress the furthest. They are 9/4 ahead of Fulham at 3/1 and Stoke 7/2. Spurs look as though they are the most likely British side to lift the trophy offered at 14/1.
Hearts face a difficult challenge against Harry Redknapps men in the Battle of Brtain with the Jambos 1/12 to fail to qualify from their playoff match. Hills offer 5/6 that both Rangers and Celtic qualify for the group stage and 25/1 that all three Scottish sides progress. Hills go 9/2 about all of the English sides progressing.
It would appear that the English sides have the upper hand over the Scottish in this years competition, but Rangers and Celtic could give the boys from South of the border a run for their money, said Hills spokesman Joe Crilly.
