Transfer Window Set To Spark Betting Bonanza

Tevez, Borini, Barton, Adebayor & Forest Latest

After a slow transfer window so far, the summer has really warmed up with a number of huge transfer stories hitting the headlines. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic seemingly on his way to PSG, William Hill make AC Milan 5/6 to be the club with which Carlos Tevez is plying his trade at the end of the transfer window although current club, Manchester City, are the same price.

“Tevez performed a spectacular u-turn towards the end of last season by saying that he was at Manchester City for the long haul but with AC Milan seemingly willing to mould the team around him, the lure of Italy may be too strong,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Liverpool have reportedly had a transfer offer for Fabio Borini accepted by Roma and William Hill make the Italian striker 10/3 second favourite to be Liverpool’s leading scorer next season behind 6/4 Luis Suarez. He is also 6/4 to score more than 10 goals next season.

QPR’s Joey Barton may face the ignominy of dropping down a division with Blackburn apparently keen on taking the midfielder on loan. William Hill make Rovers Even money to be Barton’s next club, with ambitious Nottingham Forest 7/4 second favourites.

“Barton is ruled out of the first 12 games of the season, which will take him up to November, which would then allow a Championship side to swoop for him outside of the transfer window,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Emmanuel Adebayor looks set to sign for Spurs and William Hill are offering 2/1 that he scores two or more goals against Arsenal.

Glenn Hoddle is the 4/6 favourite to be named as the next permanent Nottingham Forest job, with Roy Keane (backed in from 8/1 to 2/1) as the second favourite. Mick McCarthy has also been well backed at 9/4 while Thursday’s odds on favourite, Darren Ferguson, is out to 9/2.

Carlos Tevez club after transfer window (loans count): 5/6 AC Milan; 5/6 Manchester City; 8/1 PSG; 8/1 Inter Milan; 10/1 Real Madrid; 16/1 Juventus; 20/1 Anzhi Makhachkala; 33/1 Chelsea

Top Liverpool EPL scorer in 2012/13 season: 6/4 Suarez; 10/3 Borini; 7/2 Carroll; 6/1 Gerrard…others on request

Joey Barton next club (loan deals count / void if hasn’t transferred/loaned by winter transfer window): 1/1 Blackburn; 7/4 Nottingham Forest; 5/1 Leeds; 10/1 Newcastle

Beckham’s U-turn And Carroll Back To Geordie Shores?

Following the news that both David Beckham and PSG have pulled the plug on his supposed move to Paris, William Hill are now offering 4/11 that his next competitive game is for the LA Galaxy and 4/1 that he signs for any other MLS side. Should he move to England, QPR are the favourites to sign him at 12/1 with Arsenal 16/1. A return to Spain looks the most unlikely outcome with Malaga the favourites of the Spanish sides to sign him up at 25/1.

Hills offer 1/3 that David Beckham starts the first match for Team GB at the Olympics.

“In a full U turn, it looks like Becks will now be staying in America and more than likely, turning out for the Galaxy once again,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Andy Carroll has hardly set the world alight since his arrival at Liverpool from Newcastle and rumours are suggesting that he could well be returning to the North East. Hills make him 10/3 to return to Newcastle, whether permanently or on loan and Hills think that Darren Bent could well be on his way to Anfield, offering 9/2 that he signs for Liverpool in January.

David Beckham’s Next Competitive Game: 4/11 LA Galaxy; 4/1 Any other MLS team; 12/1 QPR; 16/1 Arsenal; 20/1 Fulham; 25/1 Anzhi; 25/1 Chelsea; 25/1 Malaga; 25/1 Man Utd…others on request

10/3 Andy Carroll to return to Newcastle in January 2012 (1/5 not to)

9/2 Darren Bent to sign for Liverpool in January 2012 (1/8 not to)

Wednesday’s Football

Manchester United are firm favourites to defeat Newcastle, despite losing to Blackburn and William Hill make them 8/11 to win in the North East. Newcastle are 4/1 and the game should signal the return of Wayne Rooney to the starting line up. William Hill offer 6/4 that his first action during the game is to score a goal while he is 4/1 to be booked and 40/1 to see a straight red first. Rooney is 15/8 to outscore Demba Ba during the game and 5/2 to outscore Javier Hernandez. The last time these two sides played, Manchester United conceded a highly controversial penalty and they are 11/2 to concede another.

“All eyes will be on Rooney as he returns to the pitch following his suspension and we think he could well find the back of the net,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Landon Donovan could return for Everton against Bolton and Hills make him 9/2 to open the scoring and 6/5 to score anytime. It is Even money for him to be subbed before doing anything else in the match, although he is 2/1 to score a goal before that.

What will Rooney do first vs Newcastle: 6/4 Score; 2/1 finish match; 11/4 subbed; 4/1 yellow card; 40/1 red card; 66/1 own goal

Rooney vs Ba (most goals): 15/8 Rooney; 10/3 Ba; 5/6 Tie

Rooney vs Hernandez (most goals): 5/2 Rooney; 11/4 Hernandez; 8/11 Tie

Manchester United to concede a penalty: 11/2

What will Landon Donovan do first vs Bolton: 1/1 Subbed; 2/1 Goal; 10/3 Finish match; 4/1 Yellow Card; 40/1 Red Card; 50/1 Own Goal

Is Gary Gunning For Arsenal As Fab Heads For The Exit?

Owen Coyle has said that he has had no dialogue with Liverpool regarding the future of Gary Cahill and despite the Reds interest in the defender, William Hill make Arsenal the 1/2 favourites to win the race to sign him. Chelsea are 7/2 second favourites to be Cahill’s next club with Liverpool 6/1. Kenny Dalglish has been a very busy boy since taking over from Roy Hodgson in January and Hills 6/4 that he brings in between 3-5 more players and 11/8 he signs six or more.

Liverpool’s first game is at home to Sunderland and Hills go 6/10 that they keep a clean sheet, 8/5 they concede one, 9/2 two, 28/1 three and 80/1 four or more.

“Liverpool’s defence has been shaky to say the least this pre-season and Dalglish realises that his back line’s deficiencies need remedying before the start of the season,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “Saying this, however, Arsenal are the favourites to sign Cahill.”

In a potential U-Turn, Joey Barton has said he could well stay at Newcastle for the next year and Hills make him 11/2 to do so, although he is 11/2 to have departed St James’ Park by the time the summer transfer window slams shut. Everton and Stoke currently head the betting to sign Barton at 11/4, while Arsenal are offered at 4/1 with Spurs 9/2.

Cesc Fabregas took part in Arsenal’s open training session but William Hill make him 1/4 to have left the Emirates by the end of the transfer window.

How many more paid signings will Kenny Dalglish make this season: 2/1 0-2; 6/4 3-5; 11/8 6+

Gary Cahill next club: 1/2 Arsenal; 7/2 Chelsea; 6/1 Liverpool; 12/1 Tottenham; 20/1 Manchester City

Joey Barton Next Club: 11/4 Everton; 11/4 Stoke; 4/1 Arsenal; 9/2 Tottenham; 5/1 Celtic; 6/1 Aston Villa; 7/1 Man Utd; 10/1 West Ham; 12/1 Blackburn; 14/1 Bolton; 20/1 Wolves; 20/1 Fulham; 20/1 QPR; 20/1 Sunderland; 25/1 Liverpool; 25/1 Wigan; 40/1 Chelsea

You Bet Tevez U-turn…fab Number Of Starts

Corinthians have pulled out of a deal to sign Carlos Tevez at the last minute and William Hill now make him 2/1 to join ANY English club after he leaves Manchester City. He is 5/2 to join any South American side and 4/1 to join Real Madrid. Juventus are 6/1 and Inter Milan 7/1.

“In a real U-Turn, it now appears more likely that Tevez will stay in England than go anywhere else when he inevitably leaves City although in terms of specific clubs, it appears that Real Madrid lead the race for the want away striker,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Carlos Tevez Next Club: 2/1 English; 5/2 South American Club; 4/1 Real Madrid; 6/1 Juventus; 7/1 Inter Milan; 20/1 AC Milan; 20/1 Malaga; 25/1 MLS Club; 25/1 Barcelona

FABREGAS GAMES STARTING AT BARCA

With Barcelona and Arsenal undertaking a tentative dialogue over the future of Cesc Fabregas, William Hill are offering odds on how many games he will start for the Catalan giants. He is 5/2 to start between 16 to 20 games, 9/2 to start under 11 games and 13/2 over 30.

“Despite the dearth of quality midfielders available to Barcelona, it looks as though the Spanish Champions may well be able to find a way to shoehorn him into their starting line-up,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly.

Number of Fabregas starts for Barcelona in La Liga in the 2011-12 Season*:
9/2 Under 11
3/1 11-15
5/2 16-20
10/3 21-25
5/1 26-30
13/2 Over 30

*Bets void if Fabregas does not join Barcelona during this Summer’s Transfer Window
