***premier League Opening Fixtures 2012/13***

Euro 2012 is not even past the group stages yet but the fixtures for the new season of the Premier League have been announced with champions Manchester City starting their defence with a home game against newly promoted Southampton, who are 11/1 to pull off a shock.

City are 1/7 for an opening day victory at the Etihad Stadium whilst cross city and title rivals United travel to Goodison Park to face Everton. United are 8/11 to pick up the victory with Everton at 3/1. The Manchester double is 19/20.

With Southampton facing a taxing trip to Manchester, Reading and West Ham stay at home. Reading are 7/5 for a victory against Tony Pulis and Stoke City whilst Sam Allardyce’s West Ham United host Paul Lambert’s Aston Villa. The Hammers are 7/5, with Lambert’s Villa 8/5 to win their first game with their new boss. William Hill are offering 66/1 for all three newly promoted clubs to win on the opening day.

Brendan Rodgers takes charge of his first Liverpool game at the Hawthorns. West Brom have never won an opening day fixture in the Premier League but are 11/5 to buck that trend against Liverpool. Rodgers and Liverpool are 1/1 to pick up all three points. It is 7/1 that both Liverpool and Everton win.

Elsewhere, Chelsea (1/2) travel to Wigan (5/1), QPR (1/1) host Michael Laudrup’s Swansea (11/5), Newcastle (7/5) play Tottenham (8/5) at St James’ Park, Sunderland (15/2) open at the Emirates against Arsenal (1/4) and Fulham (4/6) host Norwich (16/5).

Man City are favourites to be champions again at 11/8. United are 5/2 with Chelsea at 9/2. Reading are 10/11 for relegation, Southampton are 5/4 with West Ham, Wigan and Norwich at 13/8.
